What is the K20C1’s VTEC switchover point

Asking out of curiosity at what rpm the exhaust cam switches over. Hoping the folks in here that are tuning these engines know what the OEM software logic is.

I can't give you specifics. From what I remember of what I've read, it varies based on a wide variety of variables (map / mode, throttle input, octane, temp, etc. -- note those might not all be right, and it's not an exhaustive list).

That said, I think it's typically in the neighborhood of 3.5-3.75k.

I'm sure Vito, Jester, Rob, etc. will chime in with the facts quickly 😎

Awesome, can I assume the 0 is the low lift cam and 1 is the high lift?

this makes a lot of sense, thanks for sharing.

When I'm at 60% throttle and cross 3700ish rpms, I feel the motor increase in power. Kind of like old school vtec kicking in, yo!

And on this car you can’t really feel it change over but it helps with the breathing of the engine.
