I'll wait to see final Canadian pricing for the FL5 CTR, but I'm unfortunately starting to lean more towards the GRC now.

2021 FK8 Type R : $46,200 CAD

2023 GR Corolla Core : $45,500 CAD
2023 Golf R : $47,500 CAD
2023 GR Corolla CE : $53,900 CAD

Given current competition pricing and inflation, I expect the FL5 CTR to slot itself right under the Circuit edition, so probably around 51k CAD. Old FK8 CTR was always more expensive than the Golf R, and the new FL5 will likely be a lot more limited than the FK8 as well.

Is anyone thinking of going for an older model instead? A nice ek9 or an integra or something? If they can't get an allocation?

Having said that I took my dad's 300bhp mazda mx5 (miata) out today and whilst it was fast it was just too raw for me to consider as an everyday only car..

Only 200. The LE was more money was it not? I didn’t realize the circuit was limited as well as first year only which would explain the price. That being said the Type R is limited as well, especially in Canada.

No the LE was 54k and only 100 units. I am really hoping the FL5 is 52k or less.

tbh I think the CE timing is really good. All the road crap will have cleared up hopefully on delivery, so can just go out and have fun.
