No, I have not :( I wish I knew what I was doing wrong, the vendor suggested I put it together "top to bottom" but with the weather here (heat index yesterday, 111) I just can't deal with it right now. I still have a front lip to install and when I get time in my friend's air conditioned garage I'll take another stab at fitting this better. Worst case I may buy the panel recommended that doesn't need trimming.

I also re-evaulated how much it affects the "lower" setting - it's definitely noticeable but the trade is worth it IMO and you can always close the rear vent to eliminate the loss.

Has anyone seen console disassembly video for a manual? The mikstore has one for the CVT, but I assume there will be some differences for the manual console.

There are a bunch on YT but none are great IMO.

It's pretty straightforward though if you have removed your shift knob previously, if not have fun with that task first.

Ok, you've got the knob off great. Remove the shift boot section of the console, use a pry tool near the back and it will pop up, carefully navigate it over the shift lever and undo the plugs. Now is a good time to put a nicer boot on there ;) Remove the front section of the console with a solid pull. Or you can remove the shifter section and the front portion together, bear in mind there are a lot of plugs on the front section you need to undo.

Open the center console bin and pull out the little rubber mat, undo the two screws (8mm/philips). Yank up on the cup holder section at the front and remove. Look way down there, two more screws. Ok, look at where the center console meets the dash - you'll see two more screws. Remove those. Now the entire center console will slip free.

Hope that helps a bit. I got stuck on the cup holder, no one showed removing it and I was concerned I might damage it if I just pulled... but that is the correct method.

I installed the rear vent this past weekend.

Before:

After:

I also had a problem with the alignment. I ended up shaving the tabs shown below for a better fit.

The only question I still have is: What are these plastic fasteners used for? Maybe the main air diverter? I couldn't find anywhere to fit them.

Ah, one is used at the front of the tube on the right side and helps connect it to the splitter. The other one is used at the back end where the tube passes through a bracket you'll notice the bracket had a hole in the middle. I also used some closed cell foam to make sure the tube won't slide or rattle.

I'm new to the Civic platform. I bought a 2024 SI and I'm wanting to buy the rear air vents to install. Would I select the FL5 or FE? It's a 6 speed and 4 door sedan.

Kit came in today, hoping to tackle the install tomorrow. I really don't know why this doesn't come from the factory, it's 1-2lbs of plastic.

My son should be much happier riding home from little league.

Install was easy, took about 1.5 hours and took my time dremeling and trimming the rear panel. I was expecting the shift knob collar to give me trouble but it popped off easily after rotating it 90 degrees and twisting back and forth while applying downward pressure.

The factory outlet that feeds into the footwell vents was a bit of a pain and I wound up breaking the two rear clips even when prying the tabs with a plastic tool so be careful.

Fitment on the rear panel is decent, the upper left won't sit flush even after all the trimming but it isn't something anyone would see.

I couldn't get mine to fit entirely flush either but unless you are looking specifically for that you won't notice it and tbh, I had totally forgotten about it until I saw your post.

My son absolutely loves & appreciates the vent! IMO, this is a "must do" if you regularly have rear seat passengers.

I just ordered my kit from Mikstore and call me a pu$$, but I'm going to have a local mom & pop automotive audio shop install the rear vent kit for me. He hard wired my dashcam in for me and did a fantastic job. I do all of my own maintenance, but when it comes to pulling the interior apart I prefer to have a professional do it.

Is Mikstore the only provider for this product?

You can source everything except the splitter tube off of OEM Honda part sites, that seems to be packaged with the blower only and $500+. I believe you can make the rear vents work without the splitter, but you would have to sacrifice the front feet mode functionality in order to do so. The mikstore kit allows the a/c to function like it would from the factory.

Follow-up question for anyone who might know. Would sourcing from on OEM Honda parts site provide a better fit between the new console piece (with the vents) and the rest of the console? Seems like fit has been an issue for most folks who purchased the Mikstore kit. Or is the Mikstore kit going to have the same parts as the OEM Honda Parts stores?

The mikstore kit I believe uses an oem Honda rear panel as it was stamped "Honda" with the full part number. The issue is that it was made for a different trim 11th gen civic than the type r so the clips and alignment tabs are different hence the need to trim/dremel.
