I am sure changing the RMM is great but I would not call that a quality of life mod lol, having your car shake while the AC is on (even if "its minimal" or "I don't even notice it now") its still not quality of life, its just annoying
I definitely agree that a rear motor mount would not fall into the "quality of life" category, but just in case you're put off getting one because you think the NVH will be intolerable, the PRL RMM is pretty soft - 60A or 62A I think, and the bushing is a softer than usual material from what I understand. It stiffens things up just a hair and makes the car sound and feel a little more aggressive inside but without the big NVH you describe.

As for actual quality of life, I would say that I almost could not live without my Carlinkit (wireless carplay adapter). Having wireless carplay is just better than bluetooth in every way - not only does it use my screen, show my maps, live updates, etc., but to me, it also sounds better too. I used to always think people were so silly about the carplay thing - just use bluetooth! It's the same! But no, no it really is not. The Carlinkit starts up really quick too. I'd say within 30 seconds of starting the car.

So heres my order of my first few mods (i usually hit QOL before performance)

Remote start with phone app/tracking
ceramic tints
rock guards/mudflaps
(while wiring in my remote start) I created an extra front 12v outlet and 2 outlets in the rear (where my previous sport touring had the rear seat heater buttons) I created an independent circuit for these things i didnt just "tap in" on anything
last but not least, quality radar detector

I dont recall anything like this with the PRL RMM on my FK8. IF it did, it broke in after a few hundred miles. Now if you go for a more aggressive mount then sure it will make everything vibrate.

Looking forward to this on my FL5 now but would say it makes shifting easier or more engaging. You just feel more connected.
i had a ton of vibrations with the PRL mount. I removed it after a couple thousand miles and now have a bunch of new rattles. I even tried installing it several different times.

My Haspro 62A installed 3 weeks ago isn't too bad. I even turned on the ac & really didn't increase the vibrations at all. No break-in required for these results.

I just installed mine, and while there is noticeably more vibration when idling, it goes away as soon as I start driving.

I'm confused. Did your FL5 not have wireless carplay from the factory?

Was going to also ask this. How's it different than the factory wireless carplay?

Someone drifted into the wrong forum lol

Wireless android auto is nice. Lets you use a standard fastcharging charger. The radios don't quite keep the phones charged up adequately when plugged in. Like if my phone is low and I plug it in for android auto and take a drive. I wouldn't have gained much charge before reaching unless it was a long ass drive.

I'm plugging my phone in to charge during my drive out of habit regardless so "wireless" android auto/Carplay isn't the real complaint in that department (for my fk8) I guess the complaint would be the low power output the radio has. I think it's because "fast charging" isn't capable during data transfer. Who knows...
