One of the nice things about this forum is the community, passion, and collective information shared. I am impressed with the stock FL5 but had a concern last Summer seeing various temps rise where it seemed like the FL5 could really use help to shed heat more effectively. I prefer to do upgrades in incremental steps to see if expectations are headed in the right direction before considering other upgrades.

My first step was to find a replacement for the stock intercooler and am awaiting delivery. I then stumbled across this particular post on the forum:

Take my money from someone that is a forum member, tracks their FL5, understands the heat buildup situation, and is offering solutions. I ordered the cooling plate and it arrived today. I am impressed with it and look forward to installing. Here are two PICs of both sides of the cooling plate after removing the protective film (bottom and then top side view):

Jason is the guy behind WOT Performance and he has an Instagram account (https://www.instagram.com/wot__performance/). Great guy and I look forward to learning about other cooling/performance solutions that he has in store.

Very interested! Any idea on how bad is the dirt/snow build up with daily driving in the Winter?

Where does the flex pipe come out?
Evidently a hole for the stock flex pipe was not needed. After installing the plate, there is about 1/2" clearance between the top of the plate and bottom of the flex pipe itself.

So the plate installs a little lower than the stock setup? So you lose a little ground clearance?

Plate is 2mm thick with connection points slightly offset as compared to the otherwise flat 0.5mm stock undertray. No ground clearance is lost. Here is a PIC with the camera on the ground where the resonator on the stock exhaust pokes out in the PIC and is circled.

Here is another PIC with the camera slightly raised:

You guys with this installed, do you have any track days planned soon?

i really hope you guys come back with the same positive feedback as others on this piece keeping your temps down.

April 23 and 24 here. Might be warm out. Either way I'll post some info after. I know others have some days planned soon with this installed. Hope to have some good news too. Keep that water temp under 215? Am I being hopeful? 🤣

I have done a few with it on, and the temps were lower by an average of 10-15 degrees. Its hard to say if it was the plate though because I didn't do back to back runs with the OEM undertray.

Where in Florida are you? I’ll meet up with you for a track day.

I live in Port Saint Lucie. So 2 hours to Homestead Speedway, 2 hours to Daytona Raceway and 1.5 hours to Sebring raceway. lol pretty convenient. Especially if they open up Palm Beach Raceway again, less then an hour.
