Well I drove the GLA 45 today. Engine is fun handling is ok. But man chassis feel was not the best but ya I know it’s an SUV. This one didn’t have the right rims or aero so I’m out. Not a bad package but I just couldn’t get over the look of a rebadged Jeep Compass.

10k markup looks pretty good right now On Type R. It just blows my mind the quality even in the late 90s Mercedes had (my mom bought. C class at the end of high school and was amazed at the quality. Interior is cool but that carved out of stone thing has been gone since the early 2000s from Mercedes.

Right now other options
Lexus IS 500F
Caddy CT4 Blackwing
Mercedes CLA 45

The caddy is the top outside of type r as after the test drive I think I will have a hard time parting with a manual. Since 2007 3 new cars all manual.
I have seen many people mention these other cars but what about Acura TLX type-s? Is it just boring or just not special enough? Sorry maybe a little off topic? The PMC editions seem interesting?

I feel like it's too pricey for what it is, and the center console looks ridiculous imo. Nothing personal to those that like it, but I just want a regular shifter. If you're going to do something out there, I feel Genesis nailed it with their G80

I created this a while back for the fk8 and figured others would find this helpful. I have automated the script to update the cars daily. Also can only do to US market sorry

Thank you soo much, great work its really helpful. I used it with previous type R Gen and I was able to get one at MSRP. I'll be using it for this New type R.

It works really good I compared with most dealers in Los Angeles area and it definitely works.

California dealers are asking 15k+ mark up plus accessories.

I was able to find one red for 10k mark up
The lowest I founded. They seemed desperate to sell it, in case someone wants a Rally Red

I have called all the Ralleye Red dealers in Socal on this list and couldnt find any for 10k - which one was it? If i secure one at 10K i'll personally venmo you $100 if you can let me know the dealer

Emailed another 25 dealers or so. I should have started tracking the ADM info in the beginning as I've now contacted at least 70 dealers.

Question is why aren't cars showing up closer to the east coast 🤨
I think they will be, it's just taking a while. There are two pictures I've seen of trucks with just Type R's on them (9 each), but there are trucks that have other Honda's that are being delivered (either no Type R's or a mix). It seems likely that the next couple weeks we'll see them physically on the east coast, at least to me.

They are, I've talked to 10 dealers today that have already sold theirs.
I notice that in the Chicago/ Wisc and upper Indiana dealers use to list a total 24 last Saturday now it is showing only 15.
