that’s surprising since the GTI is the numbest most boring cat of the bunch. If you want a R and can’t afford it then you should probably get an N. but oh well who am I to judge, I’m just a rando internet stranger.
My order would be GTI, Elantra-N, Si. 1. Hatchbacks beat sedans every day of the week. 2. The L15 is the most boring engine in existence. I can't fathom how anyone would get within 30ft of one. 3. The GTI is the best looking, most practical, and most comfortable out of the bunch. What's not to like?

Here’s something funny to think about. Considering the ADM some places are charging for an FL5, one could get 2 Elantra N’s. You could swap them in and out of the shop. While one is blown up, drive the other.

I’m sure the N is a great car. I still wouldn’t get one unless maybe it was my fun daily beater and I had the cash for a “weekend car.”

Not the website yet but I have a digital subscription and its released.

*R = tire stickier than PS4S. The GRC and the FL5 were both on Cup 2. The Elantra came with tires from Hyundai worn to the wear bars. C&D couldnt get a new set in time hence why its slower than the Kona N.

The Kona N is faster than both the Elantra N and GTI?! Wow.

Edit: I just saw the comment regarding the Elantra’s tires. Still! A Kona beata GTI, WRX, and Elantra N (on poor tires). Crazy times we live in.

Where did you find out the info about the Elantra N tires? I saw the times posted a day or two ago and was surprised the EN wasn't faster — if that's the case about the tires, that would make a lot of sense to me.

Sweet Jebus that RS3 is FASTTT!
Same deal as the others on R spec rubber. It was on the option Trofeo R tires which people have said the article notes a 9 second difference between the Trofeo R and the standard P zeroes. Makes the times much less interesting and much more impressive for the CT4V Blackwing and GR Supra being where they are on PS4s rubber. Then the Z06 being blindingly fast over everything.

why would worn tires hurt the time in the dry? People used to shave tires.

they should simply not report times on R compound tires.

Interesting thing I see on the FK8, the car on sport contacts is only 3 seconds slower than a car with R compounds (FK8 LE on Cup 2). Crazy the difference between the Trofeos and the P zeros
