yeah all of my salespeople are now ghosting me -- likely because i've been too annoying haha

this isn't the only opportunity to get one so i'll just continue driving my hooptie until i can get one.

I only reached out every 4-6 weeks.

I'm happy with my '22 Si. This is definitely a first world problem to have.

I'm not out but I can't find one! The cars are either pre-sold already, the dealer is strictly first come, first serve, or I don't like the color (sorry Boost Blue, you're not for me). One of my local dealers that isn't taking deposits has a Champ White incoming, so that's my best hope at the moment.

lowest markup so far is 7k for me, and i'm sure that's not including their made up 3-4k package thing so basically 11k over msrp

Not surprising that dealers are changing their deals especially MSRP ones when they find out how limited the car will be. This happened with the FK8 as well…

Lol yeah. The opportunity cost in my scenario is a larger down payment on my next house.

Some dealers telling me first come first serve as soon as it arrives to dealer, and wont even tell me what ADM is yet. It's the wild wild west out there. Good luck to all

Dealer called me today. Got bumped to #1 on the list due to others backing out. Car is on the boat and they have a vin but still no msrp. It's also champ white not red like I wanted but screw it I guess I'll live. Eta guessing couple weeks at most.

VIN list IL.JPG
Longggg time lurker, figured it was time for me to join.

Appreciate everyone on here giving helpful tips, especially our Honda boys dropping these allocation lists. With that said, I have called two of these dealers, Muller in Gurnee and Honda on Grand in Elmhurst.

Have bought like 4 cars from Elmhurst and up until a week ago had an SI on lock at MSRP (btw max they were doing on those was $1500 and you got mats, locks, etc.)

Regardless Gurnee was shocked that someone already knew they had one coming in and called back with $20K mark up

Honda On Grand off jump said $15K (this was the Sales Manager)

I put those first because both calls went the same damn way after I said cool thanks for the info, next question was "well what are other places you have called saying" Passed along that 5-20K is standard, however I am in 0 rush, I want a CBP and my goal is to have it by 35 and im 33 now, conversation shifted at this point to "Well in 2024 these are gonna drop, we had a limited back in 21 with a 20K we wound up selling for only 10 over, blah blah" they know the drill, the hype boys who need it this year (2023) are willing to pay to play, the patient ones, hold out hope, 2024 will be your year for a more reasonable markup (IE 5K) just my 2 cents, called all the others and still waiting to hear back but, happy to be here!

at this point some of us only hope are on some folks backing out or failing to secure financing i mean with cost of borrowing CTR is gonna be around 70k+ how crazy is that no longer what a civic represented

up north, we may only get double digits in 2023 some dealerships starting to say they know they are getting some in 2025 but can't even take deposit because it so far out now, in case things change and they don't end up getting the 2025 model....

so again some of us are just hoping for things to fall through for others which is unfortunate to be the one saying 'my gain your loss' (luckily we don't have to deal with ADM) but majority have to deal with 7% APRs it's insane not a good time to borrow ...

and it's not like we are doing last minute shopping here, some of us put a deposit a year in advance but got unlucky that their dealership just didn't get any allocation which is total BS

btw i think we should at some point start a thread about people that are willing to trade colors, if some are getting colors they don't want

I have also put a deposit on a GRC just in case, now it sounds like it might come in handy for a private trade with someone with a CTR 👀👀

@AspecR

Thanks for all of the leg work getting all of these VIN's and dealers out to the forum!! This is a huge help to a bunch of us!!
On a side note I noticed that you have yet to post up any of the SoCal allocations...? Is the list really large? if possible could you post up the San Diego Dealers if possible...I believe there is about 7 total  🙏
