Seems like that dealer/contract is on it as far getting you information. I take it this is a first come first serve dealer that won't allow a deposit until they have a vin/order reference?Fwiw… just got a message from a dealer I’ve been working with, according to them, no Type R allocations…I’ll be interested to see what others find out.
Yep. I have about 6 dealers I am personally communicating with more than any other, but all are the same… they just say it will be first come first serve, and they can’t take a deposit on a vehicle until they have a VIN/Order Reference. But yeah, they have all been pretty good at confirming any questions I have.Seems like that dealer/contract is on it as far getting you information. Lets see what tomorrow brings. Surely hoping they at least provide some timelines. Its the 11th hour.confirmed just now. nothing
this release has been pure shit from honda lol
To be fair, it’s only pure shit bc we don’t have our cars.confirmed just now. nothing
this release has been pure shit from honda lol
The timeline seems pretty sure right now though. Media drives are November 7-10 (per Honda pro Jason) and cars hit dealers shortly after.100% why lol...however if i see a grc on the road before an fl5 i won't even know what to say
If cell phone companies still billed by the minute, they'd have a bunch of extra cash coming in next billing cycle...her response was (and I'm paraphrasing here): If we find out we are getting them then we reach our to the customers on our list and prioritize the ones that are keeping communication up. To which she then reiterated for her I was her #1. Again, just relaying info.
I guess take that to mean keeping those dealers (if you have time) aware that you are still wondering/curious about the Type R, they may be more likely to contact you first to make an offer to put down a deposit.
Anyway, just thought I'd share.
That’s been my game plan. I keep in touch regularly, for that very reason. Not that I think this is super definitive, however I figured I'd share.
A dealership near me responded to my inquiry over the weekend. This is a first come first serve dealer. No opportunity to put down deposit or get on a list, etc...
My question was as soon as they know anything about allocation status, how do they go about contacting customers. To which the answer I received this morning sort of surprised me and I can't say every dealer is like this. However, her response was (and I'm paraphrasing here): If we find out we are getting them then we reach our to the customers on our list and prioritize the ones that are keeping communication up.
