I was at the dealership today and while they didn't mention anything about a 2026, they did say that all FL5 parts are on a 6-8 week factory backorder, which seems... odd.
6-8 week delay is not really odd considering US governmental changes, holidays (including Lunar New Year), and bad weather all around the same time.

They didn’t sell well, definitely not at first. But they became more popular especially once they stopped making them. Funny how that works. Good luck finding a limited Type-S version! Those are especially desirable. Honda built a badass car. It just wasn’t what Honda heads thought it would be and that’s the main reason it didn’t sell well…well…and it was (still is) quite expensive.
My buddy who is a general manager at acura has owned two of them. I've gone for a few rides and thought the nsx was a decent car. Should have been named something else though.
For the price point I prefer Porsche 911 over the acura.

Just saw this:

Honda Racing President Koji Watanabe revealed that the automaker could introduce high-performance trims featuring Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) technology for models like the Honda Civic Type R and Acura Integra Type S. Speaking at the 2025 Rolex 24 at Daytona, Watanabe hinted at new performance offerings that would build on Honda’s existing enthusiast lineup but did not provide specific timelines or details.

Having some work done on my FL5 and the dealership gave me a 25 Civic Sport as a loaner. Was shocked that literally the only perceptible change on this facelift are the USB-C ports on the interior.

Call it wishful thinking, but maybe that's why we've heard no news about the 2026 model year?

If they’re going to be releasing higher trims then they could produce in 2026 to even 2027

Oh and the gas tank is now "capless" noticed that before I returned it.

Anyways, approaching end of February and still no announcement on the 2026? IIRC the 2025 was "announced" back in December of 2023

I'm holding out until summer, if they don't announce the 2026 by then, then I'll pull the trigger on a 2025. Waiting to see if an LE is announced...

In Europe their is JAS motorsport special edition FL5 limited to 100 units. A FL5 LE only makes sense since the FK8 models sold relatively quickly and the first model year of the FL5 had an average transaction price higher than their relative MSRP.

Is the JAS motorsport special edition an official Honda thing? When was it announced, that could be a sign that it might actually be the last gen if it was recent

Official for specific European markets, similar to the FL5 S-Grade. Not available for the rest of the world.

I don't recall that car ever being released. Honda mentioned it in connection with the FL5 setting a lap record for front-wheel-drive vehicles around the NĂĽrburgring and it's been radio silence since.

The FK8 was ALSO capless, I am curious why they went back to caps on the FL5.

I’m pretty positive it was. But Honda only had to make like 10(?) for the Euro market, for it to be called a “production car” for the ICE, FWD, production car, N-ring record. I could’ve sworn at least one person chimed in here who got one of them or saw where someone got one.
