The stock tires are 265/30-19?
Granted different make/model tires measure differently, it won't be drastic.

Would love to know as well a lot more tire options as far as year round or winter tires goes

It’s a 4% chance in diameter. You’d by throwing the speedo off by a bit so be mindful

Yes that’s to be expected but I still think it might be worth the trade off at least for me. I feel like I saw so many people saying they planned on doing this but no one commenting on this thread lol

You're adding more unsprung weight.

Why not to 18 and then 265/35?

I like the look of the OEM wheels and would prefer to keep them the same.
I was also thinking to do the same, just to add a bit more sidewall and comfort while keeping the suspension geometry unaffected as the offset and wheel is not changing. The 18x9.5 ET45 are nice with 265/35R18s, but that 15mm will affect the suspension geometry - scrub radius, etc.

Putting 265/35R19 tires on the OEM 19"s will give you the same sidewall height (and comfort) as 265/35R18s on an 18". Yes, a bit more unsprung mass, and a 4% speedo change, but OEM look and OEM suspension geometry unchanged.

I sized up my FL5 to 245/35/20.

Loved the slight change and it filled the wheel gap perfectly on that car

Is the scrub radius unaffected by a thicker sidewall and overall larger tire diameter?

I'm leaning towards eventually getting a thicker tire (265/35 sound pretty good) but very hesitant to disturb the original OEM suspension performance and characteristics.

I think @Timmmmmm13 has put 265/35/19s on his ride. Saw a photo in one of the threads.

Yes scrub radius is effected by the diameter of the wheel and tire.

As scrub radius is the intersection point of a diagonal line through suspension components and the contact patch. Increasing diameter introduces a negative adjustment to the scrub radius.

Wheel-size.com estimates this increase in tire diameter of 26mm would change the scrub radius by -5mm but this is dependant on suspension design. The design of the CTR suspension to reduce the torque steer effect my mean this is smaller on our cars.
