Hi everyone,
I'm in the final stages of rebuilding my Civic Type R FL5, and everything is nearly complete. However, I've encountered an issue: I'm getting an "Adaptive Damper System Error – See Your Dealer" message.

I've checked all four wiring harnesses, and they are fully intact. I was able to successfully clear the check engine light and collision history using a basic mobile OBD scanner.

My question is:
Does this Adaptive Damper System Error require a more advanced diagnostic tool (like a professional tablet-style OBD), or is there a way to reset or clear this error through hidden steps or procedures?

Any advice or shared experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Ok, I’m taking a shot at it. I wonder if the code is stored in the suspension module. You might need a Bi Scanner, to read all the modules on the car. Autel sells some decent ones. But my bet is your suspension module. Might need to send it in to reset. Or you can always buy the Type S module for the ride comfort. Again this is my guess. Keep us updated.

Fixed!!! “adaptive damper system see your dealer problem” it was headlight right sensor. I had spare sensor from back suspension, transferred to the front iron body plugged in and instantly error is gone

I scanned with launch obd scanner , error was lost communication to the right sensor (i thought it was only for headlight), every wiring seemed fine so i just plugged headlight sensor wiring (even damaged sensor fixed it) and it worked.

I had to check if this was an old post from April 1.

This all makes sense, very cool. Can't wait to troubleshoot this car when it gets older.

I guess hanger just makes sure it is fixed positioned (i guess when cornering it should be levelled at the same height, as it has 4 of them on each wheel ) . there is no other use than that i can think of. its just a wire whicu should be plugged.
