So, being 60, things aren't as easy as they once were, so spending the day messing around with the FL5 was a bit more strenuous than it should have been, but the car is quite a bit different than it was on Tuesday!

I went out early, 7am, to start: suede wheel, Type S ADS module (daily use), PRL titanium inlet pipe and HVI intake setup and....Acuity Short shift kit!

So aside from the 400 plugs under the center console, it's pretty easy tearing these things apart! And messing around taking quite a bit of large items from the engine compartment, I see how easy EVERYTHING will be down the line to mess with, unlike the TLX Type S!

1. Acuity: The shift kit was easy enough. Was worried about some people posting about 'breaking' something? in he connections, but had NO issues. I set it about 1/2 was from SUPER short to just shorter than factory for now and it's stupid awesome! Drove it around this morning and it's soooo nice!! Direct, short throw and much easier to shift fast.

2. Type S ADS: This makes the car MUCH nicer on the shit cleveland streets in the winter. My wife will be happier too. then a quick swap for track use and all is back to normal! And a super easy mod.

3. PRL titanium inlet/HVI: Another pretty easy mod. And NO you DO NOT have to remove the ECU. Just unbolt the front, loosen the rear bolt and presto! Lifts enough to get the other air inlet pipe in! Sounds a bit MORE, but not obnoxious. And looks great!

4. Suede Honda wheel: Another easy mod and SOOOOOO nice!! LOVE the suede. Always wanted one but never had it til now and it's very cool and super grippy!

Today I'll put the J's racing tie bar on and the springs are waiting on the wheels to do all of that. I did get the Paragon hats and brackets so the brakes are next as well.

But the ride to work was awesome! Between the shifter, the Throttle controller (best bang for the buck!) and.....my OMP racing gloves, that DO add at least 20 hp to the car!! WOOOOOOOO!!

Stay tuned!

I've heard that's the issue with them, that you SHOULD wear gloves, for the most part. But we'll see. i'm going to use a ceramic suede spray on it to try and keep it clean and honda had some general cleaning tip in the box.

And my guess if you are one of those sweaty, pizza eaters....you may want to NOT get one ;)

Lookin good! What throttle controller you get?
pedal Commander is the best one I’ve come across. Been using it for years on all of the cars. Highly effective. And very customizable.

Aging sucks, doesn’t it?! I used to repair cars for a living in my 20’s and early 30’s without any fatigue really. Now, at age 45, I dread just washing my car! Ok, maybe I should quit smoking and go to the gym🤔

Does the suede wheel feel like it'll get dirty easily/soak up oils from your hand?
No, not at all. It's perfect.
It's criminal that the U.S does not get this wheel std like other markets.
Most certainly do not need gloves. (unless you just have a thing for gloves.....) 🤷‍♂️

Congrats man. Love all these mods. Any difference in feel with the J's racing bar?

Actually the problem with telling you how the strut bar works is that I've had this car just over a month. Drove it maybe 3 weeks of that as it sat for a week because of snow and no all season's.

Then as a daily driver it's been BITTER cold, snowy, icey, salty, COLD....for a record number of days since 1915 here in CLE. So I DON'T know how the car drove stock! LOL. No chance to really push it as the streets were horrid and slick for a month +!

So....at least it looks cool! :)
