I'm just saying, I don't think I've seen an instance of a factory stock car overheating on track. I think even @PointByPatrol made such a comment with his experience driving his black car on track.

Now, the correlation of people jumping the gun on an intercooler before heading to their first track day? Yeah I could see that.

It got warm but definitely didn't overheat. I was running bone stock. On the white car I had added an intercooler and it definitely overheated.

Dang, I’ll be at Buttonwillow next week and I think temps are going to be 110+. I’m curious how the car will perform with just an intercooler. I see someone I know in that run group you were in (Leo with the Tesla).
I was at his back. I felt like i was chasing myself since i have a tesla as well.

Ya however all the cars you just listed are going more than 20 min session though lol
I’d much rather go with just a fast 20 minute session then more sessions slower ?????

I’m gonna be at Watkins Glen next Monday and Tuesday and forecast is high 70s and low 80s for now. I’m hoping I don’t overheat either. I’m still on OEM intercooler. If that’s the trick, I’m more than happy to not spend money on an aftermarket one.

a modified intercooler is the one that will cause overheating of the oil. If you didn't get into limp mode, just send it

I ordered a hood with more scoops.
Is any company selling a second radiator ? How do you do this?
On my fl5 I'm going to be test fitting the secondary radiator kit driven crazy and myself developed for my fk8. I should be getting my hands on it within the next couple of weeks. We just want to see if it will fit and bolt up using the OEM crash bar, and if so it should be available to buy shortly after.

Wait, just to make sure I'm reading correctly, when your car was bone stock you never experienced overheating while tracking?

Got it. I saw:
222f water temp
282f oil temp

What engine oil are you using? Motul 300v ?
