Must be like every time I view ai slop that's moderately better than it was the year prior. Things just seem off enough that it's not right but I can't tell why.
Kinda like how, now that we've reached 2026, I ALWAYS automatically, by default, presume that every advertisement (commercial) that shows while watching YouTube videos will most likely be 100% AI.
I am now surprised when ads on YouTube are not AI.

Also, tell me that humanity somehow is not in deep trouble.

I like the front bumper. The extra bits kind of look weird especially if its not in black. The rear wing looks pretty cool too.

Like what others have said I'm most interested in hearing that akrapovic exhuast. Literally all of their exhuasts are top tier. Not sure how they can make the K20C sound good because all exhuasts dont really work. Even the TCR/TC cars dont really sound good lol. So I'm in pure cope mode.

August is right around the corner so does that mean we will be seeing the 2027 model year?

It's a 4-banger. It'll never sound "good". A good sounding V6 or V8 just has two more or four more bangers ladies prefer.
4 cylinders can sound good (see sport bikes, S2000, NA K20 builds, etc.). The problem with the K20C is the headifold (and, to a much lesser extent, the tiny turbo & restrictive cat).

4 bangers can sound good, just not turbo 4s.
I wouldn't go that far. Fiat 500 Abarth, SRT-4, Lotus Emira, Elantra N, Evo IX, STi, Focus RS, 718 Cayman to name a few - all 4 cylinder turbocharged cars that sound decent. They certainly sound much better than the K20C1 in the FL5.

The STI with unequal length headers sounds glorious. Love the rumble.

" Unconfirmed reports claim that the Civic Type R HRC will reach production with a version of the new HRC-K20C racing engine used in Super Taikyu "

Idontbelieveyou.gif.

Here are the 2026 European TCR rules, which I think are what the ST-TCR classes use in Super Taikyu. I couldn't find their rulebook easily. 2026_TCR_Tech_Regulations.pdf or 2026-FIA-TCR-World-Tour-Technical-Regulations-Marked-up-2.pdf if you prefer.

The TLDR is the first line of the section "Turbo charged mass production engines without modification". Teams can run a thinner head gasket, larger OEM injectors (I doubt Honda has any OEM larger injectors than we already have?), and extra cooling. You can also run a different map.

This isn't a monster K20 with crazy modifications, it's literally just got better cooling, and probably some extra heat shielding.
