CSF Radiator + Acuity Reverse Flow Coolant hose + PRL intercooler

CSF Radiator + Acuity Reverse Flow Hoses + PRL intercooler

I am going to install these on my car and wanted to see if anyone has had experience with this setup at the track.

I had the opportunity to test this set up at Buttonwillow with ambient temps up to 95F last weekend. Unfortunately, the car ran into cooling issues. Coolant and oil temps were the highest I've seen and worse than before with stock radiator and intercooler

The first session wasn't that hot yet (around 75F) and the coolant temps reached 240F and Oil temps reached 290F after 4 laps chasing my friend's GR Supra. I was able to keep up with him until had to cool down for 2 laps, then picked up the pace again on lap 7. Heater was on but not full blast. The rest of the day, I had to run the heater on full blast during the next 4 sessions. As the day went on, ambient temps got hotter, coolant temps reached 240 and oil temps reached 280F. I still had to cool down after a couple of laps. I'm not too happy with this setup.

Car is on stock tune.
Only engine mods include:
1. PRL Intercooler
2. CSF radiator
3. Acuity Reverse Flow Hoses
4. Honda Coolant
5. Amsoil 5w30
6. PRL HVI Intake

Here are my thoughts and please comment if you have any feedback:

1. Plan is to put the stock intercooler back on. I think the the PRL intercooler is too thick and blocking the air flow to the radiator.
2. Hoping that the Acuity Reverse flow hoses are compatible with the CSF radiator. For those with PWR, I heard that they are not compatible.
3. Install an WOT Oil cooler which will help bring oil temps down and hopefully also reduce coolant temps since the motor uses an internal water to oil / transmission cooler.

Put the stock intercooler back on and installed the WOT HPT Cooling Plate to replace the stock undertray. Let's see what happens!

- Switched back to Stock intercooler
- Installed HPT cooling plate

Anyone have the Acuity Reverse flow hoses? Noticed that coolant leaks a little bit at the point where the hot hose connects to the engine.

I used to have the Acuity hoses, but on a 1.5t and there was just initial coolant that dripped from when I changed the hoses, no leaking. Some did drip into a little crevice on the transmission I didn’t notice at first, but could smell it from the heat after driving. I also was paranoid of them leaking and tightened the hoses as much as I could.

Have you thought about getting an aftermarket thermostat as well? Like Hybrid Racing, J’s Racing or Spoon? Should open up at a lower temperature to help cool even more.

It's been a while since the last post. I previously said no more summer track days but I can't help it. I'll be at buttonwillow next weekend and temps will be 104F. It's going to be HOT so going to take it easy. This time, I have another cooling mod: a WOT single oil cooler. Will keep you guys posted!!

Have you looked into any of the turbo coolers like this airtec? losing the intercooler seems like a tough choice to me.
