What would be decent price to have the eibach springs installed in an FL5 along with alignment. One shop local to me wants $1,050 which seems high Any help please?

I don't think I've ever seen any place charge less than $300, unless its a buddy in his home garage with jack stands.

Almost got my ass chewed out. It's a homie hook up through a performance shop so the $260 is for me only.

Over $1K!? Thats a hard pass. My local shop only charges me around $320 for lowering spring installs, $400 with an alignment.
I think some of you guys are comparing a spring install on a base civic, or even an SI to the Type R...which has a completely different front suspension

What would be the difference, adaptive dampening and bigger sway bars? Other than that, I don't think there is a huge difference. May not be a the exact same parts, but in general they are very similar.

oh well hell, that doesn't help any of us!

that's pretty damn steep - times my buddy's helped me out in my garage, the going rate was usually just a couple of beers.

I mean, a couple of beers is less than $300, so my statement stands lol

On FL5, it’s highly, highly advised to loosen and remove the axle nut on the hub. Too many people rip the axle seal and get a gear oil leak when installing springs on the FL5. Removing the nut gives more play. You don’t do this on the standard Civic or many other vehicles.
Got it, so it sounds like changing the front suspension is still a pain in the ass to work on since the previous gen and across most trims.
