I’ve already ordered Spoon springs but I’m hoping for the same. I’ve become accustomed to Sport mode and if the car is even more compliant with these springs and 18” wheels I think it will be perfect overall. The Spoon guy was saying that their springs make for a more compliant ride compared to OEM springs. Is this true from your experience?
what you see in the photos is pretty much the drop of the springs which already settled. I wish it can go just a bit more lower.I'm always iffy about using lowering springs, some of them state its only a 1 inch drop and then it turns into 1.5. How is it since everything settled? Did it drop more or stay about the same since install?
Absolutely. Much improvement from stock. But again I wish it could have been a bit more lowered. The Spoon guy was saying that their springs make for a more compliant ride compared to OEM springs. Is this true from your experience?
Yes. Its the one for FL5. I ordered it through Black Hawk Japan. Are these the springs you installed? Says July/August for US availability. The Japanese Spoon site doesn't even list them..

do it. Its all worth it.Thanks. If they play nicely with OEM dampers and modes, then I'm ready to pull the trigger. I see no downsides.
That's how it sits now.Thanks. If they play nicely with OEM dampers and modes, then I'm ready to pull the trigger. I see no downsides.
I think the 265/35/19 will work even its lowered as it does not drop the car that much. That looks sweet. My only concern is that I'm running the OEM wheels but with 265/35R19 tires, so the overall diameter is 1" larger than the OEM wheels and 265/30R19 tires. Since I got it like this from the dealer (I asked for the larger tires on delivery), not sure if it's "lowered" a bit already or not, and how springs would affect that, and if I might have to go to 18s with 265/35R18.
My diameter would be equal to a 265/40R18. I know those work with stock springs.
If you are just going to lower the car and DON'T USE any wheel spacers, you will be fine as there is a plenty of wheel clearance on the FL5, however if you will run spacers, you might rub.Spoon says it lowers it by 20mm front and rear. My ride height is now higher by 1/2" or 12.5mm, due to 1" larger diameter wheel because of the taller tires. This also means the wheel gap is 1/2" or 12.5mm lower as well. So effectively, the new drop would be 20mm + 12.5mm = 32.5mm.
