Great video @savagegeese
Someone please try the ITS ADS module on their FL5 to confirm compatibility and results before I make my way to the US to buy one lol..
So from what I've heard in the different reviews, the ADS settings on the ITS are like "one lower" in terms of compliance. In other words ITS SPORT+ is like CTR SPORT, ITS SPORT is like CTR COMFORT, and ITS COMFORT is even more compliant. Besides the compliance, what else is different? Because I'm fine with COMFORT on the CTR, and that would be SPORT on the ITS, which I don't hear anyone complaining about. Is everyone just going to run the ITS in its softest setting? Otherwise, I don't get it.

I am certain there is more to it than just being "one notch lower" - the mapping and damping ramp up rates would be less aggressive than the FL5. It is the ramp up rate that causes the FL5 to bounce, the damping rate outside of its high-G reaction is perfectly fine.

People commonly use the one-notch lower description as its easier to understand. I could write a 10 page report on this but 'one-notch lower' will suffice for 90% of people :p

I'm sure you're right, but not sure how a swap would work - different chassis, etc. Anyway, waiting to hear someone try it! Ain't gonna be me :) I got used to the "bounce". A lot less of it with VSA off.

I heard the number 20% softer than the FL5 suspension in one of the video reviews.

I wonder what is the actual amount of force generated for the OEM option CF Wing. I don't think the number was ever published, but it does change how the car drive.

@savagegeese -- I find it interesting that the ITS makes more power/torque than the CTR with about 4lbs less boost. Must be a different timing map.

Also, curious if you felt the aero difference at high speeds. The CTR makes substantial rear downforce at 200kph.

I sat in a Type S last night and if you are a fan of CTR seats then the seats in the ITS will likely be a dealbreaker. For some it might be lower on their priority list, but for me, the CTR seats are one of my favorite things about my car.

Overall, it is a very good-looking car, but IMO Honda/Acura missed by not using the CTR seat covered in a nicer material -- especially at the asking price.

my fingers still crossed 🤞 for the return of the Integra Type R towards end of model line.
ITR (if Acura decides to bring it back), will probably have the CTR seats...

I wanted to add another thing that I appreciated in this video and review by @savagegeese The fact that unlike most reviewers out there, they don't call the ITS a "more mature" CTR or a "grown up" CTR, and go into that whole image thing many reviewers get caught up in that unfortunately is a large part of car culture. I'm turning 50 this year, and I don't feel the CTR is too "boy-racer" or "young" for me. I'm not having any "midlife crisis". I love it and feel zero pressure to drive a more "age-apropriate" car like some say the ITS is. I couldn't care less what other people think or say, but I do think reviewers play some sort of role in this when they start labeling cars this way. And people start buying into this, and it becomes part of the culture. So yeah, props for not doing that.

Unfortunately I've come across multiple reviews on youtube where they label the ITS just as that, a more mature R or "grown up type r, or Type R for adults. It's annoying for sure. If anything, the ITS leans more towards the FK8 aggressiveness which was labeled "boy racer" and the 11th GEN type R is the more Mature looking vehicle, IMO.

ITS has an exhaust that sounds like every other car the local high schoolers are driving. How is that more "mature"?

I absolutely hate shit 4 cyliner high school exhausts. I can promise you even with sport+ on its still a really good warm resonance.

Yeah as someone who has an Elantra N and doesn’t love how it sounds (loud pops ≠ good) I thought the ITS I test drove sounded great (for what it is).

This is the most backward label I have ever heard -- if anything the FL5 is a toned-down, more mature Integra Type S for adults! lol
