A lot of companies like Remark include 3” front pipes with their exhausts.
Naturally, it drove me crazy that HKS charged more and didn’t include front pipes with their exhausts.
According to this video, the HKS Hi Power exhaust starts at factory 2.38” and slowly expands to 2.75” inches.
So a 3” aftermarket front pipe is going to be just about as bottlenecked as with the stock exhaust.
Essentially, you’re paying for a 0.37” (15%) bigger diameter on SOME of the HKS exhaust.
Where a 3” full exhaust is a 0.62” (25%) bigger front pipe and FULL exhaust.
Would HKS bottle neck big turbo builds?
