Hondata FlashPro Questions

I just recently got a Hondata FlashPro for free. I had a few questions as I’ve never used Hondata before.

-Can I flash the Hondata back to stock without sending it out? It came from a FL5.

-Do I need to send my stock ECU out to be jailbroken? If so is there anyone local that anyone knows of in the Ohio/KY/Indiana area that could unlock it

-Is it safe to daily drive the FL5 on a base tune with minor bolt ons?

If you send it out, you should definitely send to @Jester04. Mine is on the way to him right now.

Yes, safe to run a base tune with minor bolt-ons. However, I would go with a tune by a reputable tuner, such as @Jester04. LOL.

Jesters tune is so much smoother than the base tune, less boost, and more power. Can’t recommend him enough.

I just saw that the Hondata Jailbreak Tour is coming to Chicago in June which is only a 4 hour drive from me so that may be a good solution for me!

Question someone here that already did the jailbreak in the tour can explain me this did you pay 2k for this or the tickets and the difference? I emailed Hondata but they didn’t answer that part of the question.

In the example you posted, the normal price of jail break plus flash pro is $1,070. If you buy them together as part of the event, you get 20 percent off so $856 in total. You have to put down $50 to buy the ticket, so you’ll pay $806 in person once they give you the device and you flash it.

To be clear, you don’t pay anywhere close to $2k.

Thank you for sharing this information I was confused so definitely will do it and then talk with Jester if he offers e-tunes to get one. I’m stock but just want to improve the stock map.
