Hey everyone! I finally got my Civic Si this week. It was delivered to the dealership, and I took delivery yesterday. I’ve already put about 150 miles on it and I’m absolutely loving it so far. I’m still in the break-in period, so I’m keeping it under 4,000 RPM for now, but I can’t wait to really open it up. This is going to be my daily driver.

As for mods, I’m planning on a Type R-style shift knob, a PRL High Volume Intake, and an AWE exhaust. I’m not planning to tune it anytime soon, but I still want to do ARP head studs and a head gasket as preventative maintenance. For those of you who own one, what are your thoughts? Any recommendations, things you wish you knew, or mods you’d suggest? I’d love to hear your experiences!

OEM studs and head gasket should be fine without a tune, as long as premium fuel is used exclusively. Swapping before the warranty expires may void the warranty.
You also risk screwing up a perfectly fine engine. These aren't 2 stroke dirt bike engine's (where the head gasket can be swapped out in minutes).

A couple of minor upgrades would be a thicker rear sway bar with better endlinks, I have a whiteline 22mm.

Also swapping the horns out, the stock horns are pathetic sounding IMO

I also don't like the little bip bip, I actually hate it... and I view horns as a safety issue, much like breaks.

I had dual Hella B133 Supertone horns in my FA5 Si.

I purchased same for the FL5 but have not yet installed them, as I am a bit intimidated by removing the front fascia/bumper...

Congrats, and enjoy. Drive in Sport to hear if you like the fake noise. If not, unplug the module. I'm super happy I did it.
