Lighter wheels & rotors will lower the car's unspring weight & can improve its handling, performance, and durability. Upgrading rotors mainly for dissipating more heat providing consistent and powerful braking under heavy use,

Its always been my opinion that the Titan7 forged T-S5 looks near identical to the stock FL5 wheels and the 18" version save about 7lbs over stock w/ tires. (Stock = 52lbs., T-S5 = 45lbs.)

11th Gen Honda Civic Lighter wheel, looks stock, same specs? titan T-S5 vs stock FL5

Thanks for all of these suggestions. The ts5 and super speed both look great. Ideally would try to stay close to the 19 size and offset, but I understand some compromises need to be made.

@TW00Si thanks for sharing. Could you feel a difference in the weight savings? I wonder if it’d be even more noticeable combing it with the lighter girodisc rotors, saving about 8 pounds per corner.
I can definitely can feel a difference when saving about 5-7 lbs of unsprung weight

I also have a set of the Superspeed RFO5RR flow formed wheels. Less than half the price of their forged line. Clearly they won't be as light or as cool as the forged wheel but I have been pleased so far - and they look great.

Oh hey, that's our new FL5! Haven't had a chance to talk about it much on the forum yet, will introduce it soon

Specs are 18x9.5 +38 Superspeed RF05RR with 255/35R18 Michelin X-ice Snow Tires. Lowered on Swift's, no rubbing. Also swapped over to the DE5 ADS Module

Nice. Would you run 265 in summer?

Will clear 265's with ease, and we've seen others run 275's on the same wheel and suspension setup. Although I'd leave it at 265 as a fully loaded car with passengers and/or luggage may rub.

Briefly we ran the same wheel and spec with 265/40 on our first FL5 (not lowered at the time), which filled up the wheel gap quite well. When we lowered the first car on Spoon Springs we did 18x9.5 +45 with 275/35R18.

I love this! I want to fill up the wheel wells more but don't want to lower the car. Like my Conti's I use in the winter, it seems like they run a bit narrow and look at little "stretched" at 265. Do you think a 275/40 could work without rubbing?

I've seen one picture online of someone with NSX wheels on an FL5. They weigh about 7 pounds lighter and are really close in offset at 55. The only catch is they are only a 8.5 wide wheel compared to 9.5 for stock. I've seen some Fk8 owners are still running 265's on them as well. I wonder if these are something worth looking into?
