Personally, I think less is more in some cases. I really like the metal on the climate control buttons, though. It ties-in nicely with the shift knob and the climate control knobs. Very well done and tasteful overall. Nice work!

Everyone has been saying that Honda listened to what people were telling them when they designed this car. So, i suspect that, like other aspects of the car, Honda may have done a lot of research and asking opinions to get the optimal design within their cost boundaries. I second what everyone else has said about liking the stock interior. I find it interesting that the extra touches they put in for soft surfaces seem to be about perfect. That prob wouldn't happen without a bunch of focus group studies. LOL Again, i am one of many who contemplated other cars, but was swayed by this interior as a major draw. Any other look can be very cool, but i really love the stock interior... so much so, that i am trying to get my all-red carpet back -- gonna prob get an extra set of mats that i won't mind if they get cruddy.

I like the climate control buttons, as someone already said before they gel well with the center console switchgear. Steering and window switches not so much but to each their own. Here's a suggestion if you want to spruce it up even further: I really like when a steering has the bottom spoke in a silver finish/is metal. Look at the Integra Type S steering for reference, with its bottom spoke having a metallic finish. Just throwing ideas out there!

Not a Type R, but this reminded me of spraying a few trim pieces in my '02 CR-V silver:

No matter what any of us feel about our own vehicle... Thank you for sharing! It's great to see what it would look like. Nice work :)

How'd you do this? Are there overlay kits available?

It works. The stock look is fine as well, but got a kick out of this.
