Paint Issues

I parked under a tree at work and came out to this all over my car can anyone tell me what this is on it. I tried washing it and that didn't work also tried goo gone automotive and that did not work either does anyone know how to get it off safely without damaging the paint.

What kind of tree did you park under? Seems that whatever landed on the surface was acidic and caused a minor surface level etch.

Does your car have any pre-existing paint protection applied? If not, wash the area with liquid Dawn dish soap to remove the surface grease, wax, etc. Use a clay bar and lubricant to remove the contaminates from the surface of the paint. Clean the area again to remove any film and then reapply whatever wax or paint surface protection you prefer.

You need a clay bar like blueroadster stated above. I always have a bar in the garage.

Just remember with clay, it can put tiny scratches in the paint that may need to be polished off. It also takes off any wax or SiO2 (wont harm a real ceramic coating) so be sure to reapply something to protect the paint after.

I would not leap to claybar. This looks like tree fallout, a mixture of sap and pollen debris baked onto the paint. If a normal wash and Goo Gone did not remove debris, that means it has likely bonded to the paint or etched the surface. Start with the least aggressive method and graduate from there. Wash the car again and use a dedicated bug/tar/sap remover on the area in question. I recommend Gtechniq W7 Tar and Glue Remover or GYEON Q²M Tar REDEFINED. If these measures are unsuccesful, move to a claybar and then look to polish it out, if necessary.

10 minutes of this on my car and now its stained... i wish i felt more comfortable with paint..

That's unfortunate. It doesn't take long for the uric acid in bird droppings to eat through the clear coat. In this heat, it can happen in mere minutes. Unfortunately, it will likely need to be polished out.

let me tell you.. hot water... all of the spots that have poo on it in that picture had a cloudy spot - even the splatter stuff. hot distilled water onto a microfiber cloth over the area for 5-10 min. These two pictures were the spot after the trial run - it was reduced down to a 1/3 the size and a lot of the spray was gone too. I cant get you a picture of the marks not there but they are 99% gone after the second round of the hot water treatment.
