They sell jack pinch weld pads that just sit in the jack instead of this product, these are intended to be permanently installed.
Agree. Just use jack pads. Hell…a piece of wood can work. I’ve even used a wadded up shop rag in a pinch (pun intended)! I think these pinch weld protectors that are attached to the car are more for folks who have shops do the work. I think someone else here mentioned that they put them on the car when they take the car in for service, then remove them when they get the car back home. Seems reasonable to me if it helps him sleep at night.

I've been using these for several weeks now and absolutely love them
stick em to the car before lifting, lift the car, pull them off when done

You're all overthinking this - keep it simple

I actually ordered some not too long back. I've used them once and they worked great as you said. Ditched the thought of adding anything more permanent to the car and it filled the void when ZL-1 dropped the ball on their offering / my order...and much cheaper too!
