Spent the last few hours trying to get this mirror on, and it has to be a defective unit because I can get the original mirror on with a secure fit, but this new mirror will lock in but unlatch if I adjust the viewing angle of the mirror. The clips might just be defective… probably won’t go to the extent of ordering another one so this mod is going to be a pass for me.
Take a pic of the new one

Looks like it's right.

When you install it, are you getting it into the grooves like this from the 1st post?

Don't know man...yeah maybe time to call it quits. It looks like there's a stop tab that's not there on the windshield.

Best to just keep the stock one on if it's functional. Sucks though.

I wonder if they made the 25’ mounts slightly different. You think you could point out where the stop tab should be?

yea not sure what I’m doing wrong. I can reseat the og mirror correctly and it’s on there nice and tight but the home link mirror just won’t seat correctly. Looks like the mounts are slightly different. Home link mirror has a metal tab that protrudes from the base, maybe that’s what’s preventing it from seating correctly
It should snug up and stay. Mine was not nearly as secure as the OEM part and that was unnerving, but it hasn't come off. During my install I took it off and retried like 5 times before I figured that's how it was going to be.

same with mine - it wasn't as tight as the OEM mirror but definitely didn't just pop out when I pulled on it.

the part numbers for the OEM mirror are the same for all '22-'25 Type Rs, so I doubt it. I'd guess that the tolerances of the accord mount are a bit different than the civic's. can you unscrew the metal clip from the accord mirror and swap it with the one from the OEM mirror? from the diagrams on DreamShop it looks like that part is held in by a single screw in its center. I don't remember if that's also true for the accord mirror but I can't see why it wouldn't be.

I like this idea, and I dont have the mirror with me now, but I remember the holes where the screws go in different locations. Worth a shot though. I'm going to report back after trying!

Thanks for sharing that. I'm going to try and swap the metal plates from the og mirror to the homelink one and report back. I hate the idea of something not being 100% secure.

I'm curious! Let us know how it goes. I still have my OEM in a box somewhere, it might make the to do list. :)

Just waiting on my BlendMount to come in and I will start installing this on my Si. :p
Super excited for it. I'm migraine prone, so driving at night without an auto dimming mirror can be rough sometimes (even with the tint cutting down on the glare). I also can't stand the rattling remotes. Drives me nuts.

Thanks for the write up, OP.

Another confirmation that this kit works for the Civic Si (2023). Love the setup! Went driving last night to test the auto dim/anti glare…totally worth the hassle! Took us ~2.5 hours to complete; I took the car apart and put it back together while I let my s/o handle wiring & cable management (his day job so he is way better and more efficient at that than me, lol).

We took the time to mount & hardwire my Escort Max Cam 360C so it would look cleaner and not fall off my windshield. I had the EZ Mag suction cup before, but he got me a BlendMount, and it looks SO much better. Good fit with the mirror, too.

Had an issue with a 20A & 15A fuse not being where it was supposed to be even after referencing the guide provided.. (haven’t touched the fuse box down there since I bought it) so I will include a few photos in case it helps anyone!

That A pillar clip though. My god.

Might be overkill but I ordered a used FL5 mirror and will be chopping off the top and welding it to the accord mirror for a perfect fit. Swapping the metal plates won’t work because the prongs that attach to the stem have a different diameter and height. Will update with results.
