I think car track days are pretty safe (as long as you contain the red mist lol) when I did club motorcycle road racing, I've seen so many helicopter rides, debilitating crashes, and even deaths.. ive lost way too many friends to motorcycling. it really puts a reality check in life and the choices we make for the sake of "fun." It also makes us feel alive too.

I hate that you saw death. That's hard for anyone. I steer clear of motorcycles because of the lack of safety available. Feeling alive is one thing, but nobody should have to watch their friends die.

Just installed the flapfab rock guards and broke 3 out of the 4 clips...lol

So I went and picked up 3 clips from Honda today, and they aren't the same exact style as what came out, but they are the exact clip on the exploded diagram. They fit just fine, and they look almost identical, so I tossed them in and called it good!

They have served me well as I have broken a few clips myself on the FL5 and also on my wife's Odyssey. I have used 3 or 4 of the different clip varieties in that packet and they are direct matches.

Just paid for the 3 day Memorial Day event with TSCC out at VIR. I won't be running in blue group, but instead dropped down to purple group since it's likely a slower run group. I'll have an instructor with me for the whole event this go-round to help rebuild some confidence, and get back on the horse.

This will be a great test of the R's stock capabilities. I'm going out completely stock, tires and all with the exception of brake fluid and pads.
