I don't think the OEM airbox itself is the restriction, but mainly the OEM paper filter. Replace this with a Sprint/Spoon/K&N and they've already pushed pass 500hp ATW with the stock airbox.

500 with E blend. I have Sprint, but naturally, they will be able to get even more out of 93 when intakes hit the market.

I'm waiting for Rampage to fab up a turbo kit. PRL has done nothing but disappoint me over the past few months.
I don't know much about them (and also believe in Rampage Fab's products) but Meta Racing has a turbo kit for the Garrett that someone in the states installed and Dream recently posted an FL5 in China installing too if you might be interested.

If that is an unmodified factory airbox with an upgraded filter I'd say they are down at least 20whp. The restriction is the "big hole" that you look down into... the inlet of the air box.

I doubt they will respond. I'm also waiting for charge pipes

Dream posted a teaser of Eventuri's to FB yesterday for those of you with baller budgets. I'm with Jono, I got the Pipercross noisemaker and love it, don't care if it's less performant personally.
Does the piper cross intake have less performance than the stock one or you mean compared to other brands?

They claim it makes power over stock, most folks say it won't due to its design. I honestly don't care, I like intake sounds (lots of turbo noises) and can't feel a difference one way or the other. It's also 3-4x (or more) cheaper than the fancy stuff.

It's already out for production, it is being manufactured now. They are not folding paper airplanes here, it takes some time.

Honestly curious, why does everyone lust after this PRL intake? Tuners are making plenty of power with the stock intake and doesn't seem like it's a limitation until you get above 400+ hp. If you want to make more noise, just buy a drop-in filter.
