Well this car gets more camber than the FK8 did.

We managed to get -1.9 camber out of the front of the car! Thats pretty dang good!

no issues at all. the larger issue i had was rocks! a lot of them seem to get into the calipers front and rear so expect some noise. sounds bad but nothing to worry about

Don’t sell yourself short. BS pax is not an easy one.

Wasn’t the FK8 allowed to run in DS? If so I would guess the FL5 should match in that category.

No, the FL5 is classed in BS. I'm assuming that is mostly because of the 9.5" wheel width. That said, it doesn't seem that it's any faster thank the FK8 and it's essentially buried in BS.

yeah makes no sense aside from the wheel width. Its basically the same car with some improvements.

I just thought I would share that Titan 7 will be coming out with a new wheel design that accommodate high offsets like ours.

They will produce a 18x9.5 +53 hub centric wheel for the FL5. It's a brand new design (10-spoke) so I cant share pics publicly, but I hope to receive my set before the end of the year 😁

I do not know when they will formally add the wheel to their line up, but if anyone is interested getting a set early, they will be quietly accepting preorders if you contact them directly at [email protected]

Pricing is to be similar to their other 18" offerings, so $2260 for a set of 4.

FYI I'm not affiliated with Titan7.
I just contacted them a few weeks back (soon after I picked up my FL5) and searching through the very limited selection of Street Class legal wheels. The guys there were surprisingly pretty receptive 👍

If only they were 19" instead. I think this will become the go-to for FL5 owners when they realize some of the reason it handles so well from the factory is it comes with 19" wheels and it is setup to work well with them. I kinda regret jumping on the 18x9.5 bandwagon a little early. My opinion might change after more chassis mods but right now the factory wheels are quite a bit better.

19"s? Maybe. Most of the wide tire sizes in 19" for the front are usually taller than 26" (ie., RE71RS 275/35-19; 26.6" dia), which would make 2nd gear pretty long for the FL5. I would think 19"s would be a good option to make 2nd gear taller for more wide open and fast courses. Much would depend the size of your local autocross sites and type of courses
