295/30/18wait did someone just casually mention putting on 295s?
I'd like to see that happen!
I put springs on mine and right side maxed at -2 while left did -1.7.Well this car gets more camber than the FK8 did.
We managed to get -1.9 camber out of the front of the car! Thats pretty dang good!
Don’t sell yourself short. BS pax is not an easy one.Same problem here lol also had my first event yesterday won class 3rd in pax admittedly it's more the car than the driver!
No, the FL5 is classed in BS. I'm assuming that is mostly because of the 9.5" wheel width. That said, it doesn't seem that it's any faster thank the FK8 and it's essentially buried in BS.Wasn’t the FK8 allowed to run in DS? If so I would guess the FL5 should match in that category.
yeah makes no sense aside from the wheel width. Its basically the same car with some improvements. No, the FL5 is classed in BS. I'm assuming that is mostly because of the 9.5" wheel width. That said, it doesn't seem that it's any faster thank the FK8 and it's essentially buried in BS.
If only they were 19" instead. I think this will become the go-to for FL5 owners when they realize some of the reason it handles so well from the factory is it comes with 19" wheels and it is setup to work well with them. I kinda regret jumping on the 18x9.5 bandwagon a little early. My opinion might change after more chassis mods but right now the factory wheels are quite a bit better. They will produce a 18x9.5 +53 hub centric wheel for the FL5. It's a brand new design (10-spoke) so I cant share pics publicly, but I hope to receive my set before the end of the year
19"s? Maybe. Most of the wide tire sizes in 19" for the front are usually taller than 26" (ie., RE71RS 275/35-19; 26.6" dia), which would make 2nd gear pretty long for the FL5. I would think 19"s would be a good option to make 2nd gear taller for more wide open and fast courses. Much would depend the size of your local autocross sites and type of coursesIf only they were 19" instead.
