Recall gone right! Thankfully, to Mr. Rivera at Honda of Bayamon who did the job, it was done the right way. I was the first car in today. I'm not sure how that factors anything at all. They had offered to schedule it for last Friday but I decided maybe I want to be the first car worked on in the week and took the Monday earliest option. No scratches, no separation, no creaking, and it'll stay in place, which is most important. Stay safe and bring it in with the precautions everyone.

I went in for something else on my car with 100 miles, and there were grease stains on the passenger seat and floormat. Like you know as a tech that the dealer puts plastic and paper on the driver side so you don't muck it up, and then you don't even bother grabbing some more plastic if you have to sit on the passenger side? And multiple people had to have seen it. It was easy to clean, so they could have put a tiny bit of effort in and not made a distrusting customer.

Also there's a small scratch in my door card from the factory or shipping. I removed the PDI stuff myself, so the dealer barely touched the car

My seat was very creaky and starting to drive me crazy so I finally took it in for the recall. To my surprise, I don't see any interior damage and the seat feels great.

However, within being in the service entrance for 2 minutes a porter scratched my hood. Resulted in a terrible paint repair. Followed by a repaint. Finally, sent it back to the body shop 1 last time due the hood alignment being terrible. 3 week ordeal.

@DeVo It’s the potential for these kinds of stressful and time-wasting things that give me anxiety any time I need to drop my car off anywhere. Yeah, it’s a car. Yeah, it’s fixable. But if/when something goes wrong, the time and effort wasted you’ll never get back. It’s especially frustrating when they don’t make it 100% right the first time.😔

Whole ordeal could have been avoided. They gave me a $500 credit I can use towards parts/service. So I am content with that and won't leave a review. I may use it towards the alcantara steering wheel.

And then people wonder why I’m so against dealers. Not all are bad but most of my experiences have been negative.
