Looks like its true.I saw something that I CANNOT CONFIRM at this point that indicated that Honda/Acura will be providing dealers with special tooling to allow them to complete this repair without dropping the subframe, and that said tool is set to go out in November. If this proves to be true, it is likely a good thing. (less to go wrong)

No rentals unless your dealership will provide it, Honda will not include it since the new fix does not require the front subframe removal.wonder if we can drop our cars off and get free rentals for the months it will take to fix??
I believe the new car inventory is getting priority on the repair parts so your experience does not surprise me.
My dealer's service dept. told me something similar last Friday. They're not making appts. until I receive a letter about the recall and parts not expected to be at the dealer until Dec.In canada they told me we will get a letter when parts arrive. I made an appointment for dec for oil change and tires so im hoping parts will drop by that time as well.
