2 weeks back when I hit 1000 miles. Don't hate me lol my commute is mostly back roads where I throw it in 6th at 45 mph and just enjoy the scenery.

This post seals it. I wasn't sure at first but between this and the effort to drive the car post... I am confident you'd install a CVT is possible.
My sport touring is a cvt so Im already covered!

My '02 CR-V gives me 22-23 mpg overall on all seasons and 20-21 mpg on winters, so I'm more than happy to get what I get with the Type R. It costs me almost the same per mile to fill the Type R with 93 octane as compared to the CR-V on 87 octane lol. In fact it is about 0.5 cents per mile cheaper for the Type R 🤣.

I've been at 15-17mpg for 2 years so anything 20mpg+ would make me happy.

Running 22-23 MPG with a healthy mix of city/highway and driving it somewhat aggressively. Nice improvement on the 18-19 MPG I got in my Veloster N.

Yeah, I’m getting around 22 in mostly city driving. Sometimes driving aggressive. What’s really crazy to me is that this is about the same mpg I used to get from my completely stock ‘09 Si😳!

You must be running a tight balance between lightly cruising and lugging the engine the whole drive.🤣

Only downside I see is the small gas tank. I'm guessing after 200 miles or so the fuel light kicks on.
