So I like to self inflict wounds and rarely disconnect the battery when I work on the car, maybe that's my bad here. In any case, I installed a rear a/c unit today which involved disconnecting a million connections in the center console and adding a pigtail to the accessory socket's plug. Buttoned it all back up and now I get the below message!

I can still use the car by touching the fob to the starter button so I'm not dead in the water at least. I checked and I'm 99% sure I didn't messup connecting things back or missing a connection, I checked the fuses under the hood (fine), and also disconnected the battery (oh man, the car doesn't like that - all driver assists were DOA until I went for a long drive) and no dice.

I'm going to keep searching but if anyone has ideas, I'm game.

I wonder if it maybe a keyless antenna disconnected.

I'm not exactly sure of the location of them.

I probably need to go back in there and triple check the connections - there are a lot of plugs down there!

Yeah but it would be nice to also look for something specific. I didn't find much on my Google search. Maybe you can.

A guy on FB said this:
There are 2 plugs dedicated for keyless entry inside the center console. Check them out if plugged properly.

So that supports the idea that I must have missed plugging something in/all the way.

I thought I had (elsewhere)?

The install was straightforward, takes about an hour, and blows enough a/c in the back to make it tolerable. There is an alternative rear panel that might be worth buying ($20) that TypeR_JDM_DOHC said does not require trimming that might resolve the gap issue I'm having if I can't get it right. Regardless, if you have folks in back it's worth doing IMO.

I removed my center console to install the MikStore rear vents (and a bunch of other stuff), and ran into this "Smart entry system problem" after I'd gotten everything buttoned up again. Needless to say, I was terrified until I found I could still start the car by pressing the key to the start button.

Fortunately, the fix only required removal of the silver console topper and the lower console with the wireless charger and USBs built-in to access the unplugged harnesses. I'd forgotten to plug in both the wireless charger and the keyless entry, so I'm posting a pic showing each just in case anyone else runs into this problem.
