I already have the ITS ADS module installed on my car and am about to install the revised Spoon springs. Is it going to be too soft? Should I go to back to the stock ADS module? Daily driven street car - no track use. Terrible roads.

I have this combo. I had the same though about going back to the stock ADS module but after riding on this setup for a while I have to say it feels really good for street driving. Roads around me are generally good but around my work are atrocious so I get to experience a wide range of road surfaces.

Full disclosure - I will be switching back to the OEM ADS module when AutoX starts back up and I would love to do some track driving this coming year.

I just had the spoon springs installed and swapped back to the oem ads since I was thinking the same thing.

I’ll probably swap back to the type s ads to try it out, in sport mode with the spoon springs gets pretty bouncy.

Great question. I've been thinking the same thing.

For clarity: The ITS module would add a level/hint of comfort at the same setting vs the CTR module. If one wants the sportier rigidity, the CTR module is fine?

Let us know how you go. I have the ITS ADS Unit and am about to get spoon springs. Also have 18inch TE37s on order so I'm wondering what the best combo will be (ITS unit or stock ADS unit)

Will do, will probably do some more driving with the stock ads to get a good feel for it and then try the type s ads for a bit. So far with the spoon springs and the oem ads in comfort mode feels close to what it was with the oem springs and type s ads

It certainly isn't too soft. I run AS tires and the change from one AS to another is more noticable. (DWOS6+ vs Pirelli P Zero AS+ 3?)

What size wheels and offset, as well as tires? I am running 18x9.5 et38 with 265/35. The wheels stick out a bit and a worried about rubbing if I lowered.

Which tires did you prefer? I was planning on 18's with DWOS6+ as well.

I was less aggressive. 18x9.5 w/ et45.

In ideal conditions, I think both tires are very close performance-wise. So it will come down to personal preference. I find the Pirelli to be more responsive laterally and has less road noise. The Continental provides a softer ride and you will have fewer moments where you cringe over road imperfections. I was able to be fully confident during spirited driving with either tire, but the difference in response is quite noticeable.

In the wet, I think both perform well, and in the snow, the Continental performed better than I expected. I have about 200 yards of experience driving the Pirelli in snow, so I don't have much to offer there, but nothing negative.

I am a Continental tire guy at heart. However, I noticed that some people who purchased the DWS06+ tire were selling them shortly after purchase and going with the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season. When I asked why (including once on this forum), both people mentioned turn-in or lateral response.

I noticed the change myself going from the 19" to the 18" and that is to be expected but the comments of others stuck with me. So when it was time for me to buy another set of rubber I expected to buy Michelin Pilot all season 4. Just before I pulled the trigger I did some additional research to learn that Pirelli had updated their tire and it was getting favorable reviews (or perhaps favorable paid advertising "reviews"). The price was the least expensive at the time but I couldn't find anyone with a CTR that using them. I took the risk and I am glad I did.

I hope this answers your question.

I'm not far from Gettysburg, PA. How much snow did you guys get in Richmond?

Wild. We have a family cabin in Gettysburg.

Not much snow here. We have a little from the storm but the roads aren't bad. I will probably not have to drive the FL5 in the snow since I work from home.

Not too bad here. I drove an AWD vehicle over the weekend so I didn't need to drive this one except from the garage to a parking spot.

Easy for you to get tuned with Drob at IMW too once it thaws out.
