A couple of dealers called me on vehicles where they dropped the price near MSRP. The second round of allocations are dropping and they are getting nervous they'll be stuck with inventory. Stay strong fellas.
Are you gonna pull the trigger since it’s near MSRP cause I’d consider 5k over if that’s about where they are money wise

I didn't. I passed on it. Not interested in Boost Blue. Car sold soon after I got off with them.

Is anyone still keeping the table updated in the first post?

I had DM'd @savagegeese about my recent experiences trying to purchase an available Type R near me. He was trying to put together a spreadsheet outlining the number of dealers and amount of markup to try and get more allocations to dealers trying to play fairer and selling at MSRP by reviewing this with Honda Corporate.

The first dealer was Ed Napelton Honda of Oak Lawn who would not negotiate below a 10K markup on theirs and stated "We are firm on the price and we will not see another for several months at the ealierst" I was even willing to pay 5K over and local to the area.

The other is Russ Darrow Honda of Milwaukee who has a Boost Blue and is looking for a 15K markup but would consider 10k. These are the only two sitting around the SE Wisconsin / Northern Illinois region for good reason.

I am currently 4th in line at my local dealer for MSRP so I do have a vested interest in making sure dealers in the region may get skipped over on allotments and my local one can get more.

Wait 6 months. By June, economy will be in free fall and recession, maybe even depression is coming. They'll be begging people to buy.
It's happening.

New prices are before $7500 tax credit:
A lot of Tesla conquest sales are from people trading in Hondas.

The Model 3 and Long Range Y are the only ones that are qualifying for the credit and you have to take delivery before March 2023. Nice to see lower prices in general though.

And the same people your telling to wait won’t have the money to buy so it’s a moot point.

So the Model 3 Perf and Model Y Perf are not included? What are they charging for FSD these days?

I posted this in a different thread but I meant to put it here.

DCH Academy Honda in Old Bridge, NJ has a Boost Blue FL5 for $66K. I have to go back there in a couple days so I'll grab a pic of the window sticker. $20k ADM + some addons

cant' remember but I think sedan (Model 3) has to be less than 45k and SUV (Model Y) has to be less than 55k to qualify or something. I've bailed on my Model Y performance for my FL5...I traded in the car when prices were still high. I have no issue doing so because EV will be a lot cheaper in the future. Unless, of course, it's a Type R EV, than ADM all over again :)

EDIT: the only thing I really miss (other than no gas) is the autopilot...even the freebie is bad ass!

I'm not sure EV prices will affect the "desirability" of the Type R...there will still be plenty of people wanting the Type R and the # of people wanting the Type R is greater than the # of Type R's that is / or will be available.
