What is everybody using for tires and pads on oem suspension? I finally blew through my first set of consumables - Falken 615's and Endless ME20's.

615s last a long time. if you're not looking for outright grip, The V730 are cheap, but don't use them in any precipitation. Conti ECF are very good and last a while.

Just shy of 1,000 track miles on the car. Looking for consistent laps. As I've improved on track, I have incrementally modified the car - Stock pads -> MX72P -> ME20 or Michelin PS4S -> 615K. Looking to move to coilovers next year.

For brake pads: I'm looking for a step up from ME20's. - longer life, minimal brake fade, more friction. Currently looking at PMU 999's as a strong contender w/ Club Racers in the rear.

For tires: I'm looking at a step up of the 615K - essentially more grip with a similar life span if that even exists.

I think the next logical tire progression would be something like the Conti ECF, Goodyear SC3. They both are consistent, wear well, and have good pace -- without having Super 200 (A052/71Rs/CRS) style pace. ECF are better in the wet and a nice on the street, but directional and limit ease of rotation. I found SC3 a bit faster, nearly as consistent, and you get the added bonus of easy rotation.

If you are an SCCA or USAA member -- you can also get 20-25% off via Goodyear direct, which is a nice perk.

Pad wise -- I'm a Counterspace Garage (CSG) believer. From my own testing (of which was a lot on the tires I mentioned above) -- they are worth the entry fee. C1X Up Front + C11 or C1X rear. I like pairing with the Girodiscs for better thermal capacity, and because they last forever (and are only marginally more expensive than the less impressive OE rotors).

Very true! I have run them backwards too actually -- I just hesitate, because I live in a rainy climate, and getting caught in the rain with them backwards would'd be my favorite :)

Very true! I have run them backwards too actually -- I just hesitate, because I live in a rainy climate, and getting caught in the rain with them backwards would'd be my favorite :)
It's oversteer training lol

Didn't a magazine run tires backwards in the rain and the times were only slightly slower, if not very similar

When you say Goodyear direct Im guessing you mean the website Goodyear? I just did a quick search and couldn't find any conti ECFs in 275/35/R18. I saw the price if the tires on tire rack and I am a USAA member so that 25% discount actually would be really nice. Im using the Hankook RS4s right now

I have those CGS Pads on right now and I will be going out this weekend. I can already feel a significant difference in feel with them compared the Paragon R3s I had.

Front: C1X
Rear: C11

Do you know of measurement of when its time to replace the OE or the Gridisodic rotors? I bought a rotor measurement tool so I can start measuring mine

ECF in 275/35/18 on my wheels at the moment wonder if they're sold out? I got mine from trackdaytire.com

The Goodyear website would be only of the Goodyear Supercar3 (SC3), not the Continental ECF. You'd need to go to TireRack or TrackDayTire for the ECF.

I do not know the min thickness for the OE Rotors. I believe the Girodisc Min thickness is 30MM, but you'd have to double check what the rotor hat says -- it's printed on it.
