Make sure you bed the hell out of the R5s because I thought I did and didn't and got tons of deposits so much that I am still dealing with that. I switch to SR11 (recommended by svitch and a couple other people) and imo are much better, really easy to bed, also cheap, way more bite (which you might not like, the R5s definitely modulate better).

A lot of people seem to like the R5s and maybe I was unlucky or maybe I just did not bed them enough but they are not my cup of tea.

A pad I would love to try is the endless ME20 and ME22, very popular in the nurgburing, good deal if you order from black hawk but they are made to order so will take a few months to come

This is the reason I stay away from bespoke and jdm parts. Waiting months to get parts just doesn't make sense for most people

Good to know, what pads do you run in the rear?

Paragon R3s. I kept them from the R5 front/ R3 rear setup. Couple track days on the SR11 front and Paragon R3 in rear and works well. If I was to be buying new I would probably go bluestuff but I really don't think would make it better or worse.

I have Xanax and thankfully my employer has a heart and lets us fly business class if over 14 total hours of flight time đź‘Ť that should help a little bit I hope. I am still nervous about it.
Make sure to stand up and walk around for a bit every 2-3 hrs. Avoid blood clots, I see a lot of them on people that sit still for long extended flights.

Are you getting a vibration all of the time or just after the brakes get hot?

When brakes were hot but they didn’t even have to be that hot, I would have minor vibration on the street and on track was bad after a few laps.

was definitely deposits and I did everything, sand pads, rotors (likely did not do enough here), it helped but after a track day was back.

now that I switched to the SR11 its 98% better, still some tiny vibration here and there but almost perfect, i think another track day and will clean itself out. The problem with the R5 is that I dont think they are abrasive enough to clean the deposits, so the trick of just driving them cold the next few days after track was not working. Maybe I got unlucky as you and many more people seem to like them but I have also read some people with the issue I had and I think stems to having to really bed these in

Yea that's strange. I haven't had that issue with the R5's. I have R7's on the car now, and after 5 laps the car would shake like crazy, but it wasn't the pads....it's my rotors. They're toast!

The first time it happened rotors had 600 miles and was the second session on track ever on those rotors so I eliminated that possible cause.

Its indeed strange but has definitely put me away from the R5s, I never had issues before and always bed my brakes similarly (I did follow paragons instructions), the transfer layer looked good too but the shacking was so bad made the car undrivable, ruined most of that track day really

My track day was definitely put off too by the rotors. I've got an absurd number of parts that I need to install. This Saturday looks like it's going to be nice and warm, so I guess I'll try to mess with all of it then.

I do want to say, Paragon customer service was incredible, very responsive and helped on the issue as much as possible, I am a big fan of Paragon and will continue to be a customer, just not the brake pads.
