I test drove a Model Y performance extensively and on multiple occasions, what a quick car! I don't think people know how fast those Teslas are unless you have actually driven one. Almost picked one up but I decided to go with the FL5, last pure gas car I will probably own. Next car will be a Tesla or some sort of hybrid.

Havenā€™t really decided the next car but really enjoying the 392.l, so it may be hard to let go. Out of all the vehicles I have had the S2000 is the only one I have ever regretted selling.

My wife definitely keeps my car hobby in check. From some of these lists and assuming marriage, I donā€™t believe others have that angel (or devil depending on perspective) on their shoulder :p
My wife is amazing on too many fronts and I'm lucky to have her. For the last several years there has been a carousel of cars in and out of the garage. I took delivery of one in January and will likely pick up another next month.

We have a sort of unspoken rule in the house--we take a lease rate for an entry level luxury car these days (~$500-600/month), and use that as a benchmark. We try to keep transaction and depreciation costs below that annually ($6-7K/year), so I try to buy cars that don't depreciate much and go from there.

Current:
2018 Civic Type R, - Obviously a top favorite - overall a solid # 1 by a mile. For just driving fun still top 3 along with the MR2-S and MGB. Other than tires and brakes, very low upkeep.

2002 Lexus SC430 - not 'the worst car in the world'. Spouse loves it. It has its charms, but not the one I most want to be in - unless it is top down weather.
With a NA 8 cylinder, rwd, 325 ft lbs of torque, you would think it would be more of a driver's car. But it weighs about 700 pounds more than the CTR. See 'tank'. Engine is buttery smooth, the interior wood is cool, folding top the best feature.

Previous:
2002 MR2-S - top 3 favorite
2017 Civic SI - top 4 favorite - 2nd best all around car ever owned.
2003 Infiniti I35 - great visibility, strong engine, in a very plain wrapper with a huge turning circle.
1983 Datsun 280ZX - not a numbers car but very special experience. Top 5 favorite - in 5th.
1990 Eagle Talon TSI - disappointing. AWD turbo with sucky handling, go figure. And turbo died.
1999 Ford F150 - also disappointing - 25 years later and worse mileage, acceleration than the '74.
!974 Ford F100 - miss this one. If you want a real pickup truck, look no further.
1985 Saab 900 Turbo - top 5. Excellent steering, interior, styling. But rivaled Maserati for repairs.
1967 MGB - top 2 favorite - doesn't get any purer. Lots of hop with those leaf springs, slow on paper, fast in real life. made the MR2 look sedate by comparison. Second car I ever owned.
1972 Datsun 1200 -first car, a collectible now - and you can have it. Slow AF.
1997 Kia Sportage - great before the electrical issues.
1998 Kia Sportage - great before the electrical issues. Yes, I'm a slow learner.
2004 Toyota Rav4 - great but seat bottom too short for most legs.
2006 Toyota Highlander - wife's favorite. For a large SUV, excellent. We test drove every SUV out there before picking this one.
1983 Lincoln Continental - a cheap placeholder that was possessed, so sold it.
1969 BMW 1600 - 3rd car owned. Great car but a bad example of one. Paid $ 350 for it.
1983 Ford Escort - It gave econoboxes a good name. Very tight. No A/C, so got the Tempo.
1984 Ford Tempo -least favorite on this whole list. Should have kept the Escort.
2000 Jaguar X-Type - owned it for a day and made the dealer unwind the buy. Dodged a bullet.
2003 Nissan Altima SE -excellent car until it hit a Ford Taurus. Totaled - but I walked away.
1990 Nissan Stanza - an example of a Plain Jane, car - $ 10K new- that actually was very, very good. The Altima was faster and sexier, but not necessarily that much better for twice the price.
1984 Honda Civic- early Hondas were just fun, full stop. A '73 CVCC a friend owned- his dad was a pro racer - did things I have never seen before or since in any car.

Not in exact order of ownership.

Notice there are American, Japanese, Korean, Swedish, English, German, but no French or Italian cars on this list. Pity. On the bright side, no Russian or Yugoslavian cars on this list either,

Not a big list, but I admit that's mostly because I've only ever had access to one parking space. I almost bought a 65 Mustang last summer but I didn't have anywhere to store it šŸ˜
