What did you do to your FL5 today?

I want to do the horns too, but hate having to take apart the bumper for it

Which part of SoCal are you in? I'm looking for a good shop to work on my car if you have any good recommendations in the OC or south OC area? I have been out of the Honda scene for the last 20 years and don't know of any good Honda specialist at all Any recommendations would greatly be appreciated, especially those that are detail oriented like LHT

Thanks for the suggestion. RCraft looks like a great shop, but it's about an hour away from me if traffic is good...so not very practical.

I just put in an order for one, would love to hear your impressions comparing this to the PRL RMM.

Now that I have driven with it some. It doesn’t feel much more in terms of vibration compared to the PRL. I do feel the extra rigidity of it does keep things more planted. I don’t do many hard launches but with the PRL when the front tires did break loose wheel hop could happen if you didn’t pedal the throttle. Now, even though I have more power the front tires have not broken traction. I can only surmise that is a direct result of less engine movement as a result.

Full disclosure. I did also add the Mugen lateral performance dampers which may be why it doesn’t feel like any extra vibrations are coming through. I can’t speak highly enough of how the lateral dampers have improved the overall ride quality of this chassis

Where did you get the dampers from?

How easy was it to install the dampers, esp removing rear bumper?

I can probably assume the dampers are from Kingmotosports.

Saw that Two Step Performance had these and ordered a set. They seem more similar to the ones from Spoon. They probably work in a similar fashion, just won't hurt the wallet as much and got a 5% discount from using their code CIVICXI.

You are correct.
I don’t know who makes the other lateral dampers being offered but the Mugen version are made by Yamaha. To my knowledge Yamaha are the inventors of these and the OE brands that use (like Lexus for instance) them are also from Yamaha

I watched that YT vid earlier this morning and it was good. I like his channel too.

I still don’t understand how the dampers work actually, since they span two fixed points.
