I put mine together from Summit Racing parts. Cost me around $100. I also disabled the flap valve. Sounds great, is lighter and looks much better than the factory setup IMO.

What specific parts? What's the current resonator/muffler and any sound?

Yeap! Doubt it a little about the price point, because a decent resonator/muffler is probably $70, and then the tips ad also only a way to make a little sense if you know how to weld and have the space to do so, but it is a decent idea, probably a DIY reusing the OEM connections. But it is a good option at the end of the day.

The 2 45 degree bent pipes and tips with clamps were only $100.

I first tried this setup with a shorty muffler ... which added another $100. >

... but it didn't leave me enough room to get the S bend pipe in place, so I ended up just doing a straight pipe which actually works about as well sound wise, but maybe just a little more raspy around 3500 rpm. I'll probably have to break down and get a custom connector pipe made if I want to run the muffler. Right now it's minimum weight and not really too loud, but sure sounds better than stock. I just can't see blowing $2K on an exhaust... I'd rather invest in a good tune and call it a day.

Amazing option. If you have the skill, it is even better, but it’s true that all the exhausts are $1,500 or above. But I guess that’s also part of having a Type R. Sometimes it is downplayed as a dress-up Civic Sport, but then you try to get parts, and they want to charge a higher price for products that don’t fit well or the quality is just not there, or you need to put it together with self-tapping, but pay me a million dollars just because.

Videos of the HKS valved exhaust

This time, we are excited to release a sound video of the full exhaust system currently under development!
Featuring a Φ74.7 full straight, valve-equipped exhaust system, it remains calm and refined when the valve is closed, but the moment the valve opens, it unleashes an aggressive and powerful exhaust note.

Although the system shown in the video is still a prototype, we are sincerely and diligently developing it toward full production.

This is all I know. Please do not be angered @Evox787 lol

about to pull the trigger on the Milltek valved resonated exhaust but struggling to make a call on the tip selection...anyone have any advice? deciding between brushed titanium or just the straight stainless.

It's really up to your personal preference. What color car do you have? I personally like the stainless steel

I had the Remark Titanium. I went back to stock. The exhaust sounded nice, but it was a matter of time before some local PD got a hard on for the titanium tips and pulled me over. I felt a difference going back to the stock exhaust as far as throttle response and such. You can tell the car did better with the larger Remark piping and front pipe.
