she's my daily so nothing to crazy but great on the backroads and tracks days while im here in Germany. im very much thinking about doing a CTR CS (club sport) very much inspired but the Porsche CS builds. I wanted to go full Spoon but after my recent trip and looking for parts it's near impossible. after specking with customer service at dream automotive in the UK and hearing the lead times of up to 12months... im good.. I love spook and HKS but im not here to wait 6-12months for a front lip...

ill be looking for good quality parts seeing as im constantly on the Autobahn doing 245KPH on the daily... can't afford to have a part fail at that speed lol

Very nice! I hope you can go to the Nürburgring and Spa. I’m not sure how expensive it is over there.
my goal this year is to do 2-3 track days the Nurburgring GP track, spa or blisterberg all are about 3.5 to 5hrs away

I’m working with CAE here in Germany on the fl5 sifter development and plan to run it hard of track. I’ll post pictures of the new shifter later next month when they start working on my car

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out, especially since you have relatively ease access to the Nurburgring.
Are there any mods you plan to add in addition to what you have already, so the FL5 can complete an aggressive lap of the Nordschleife?

How did you end up with a US-spec car in Germany, wouldn't a German spec car be easier to acquire?

So mainly aiming for track days on the GP circuit. I think the risk is possibly too high on the actual green hell. But I do plan to do a couple labs on it for what I’ve heard. There’s been a massive influx of inexperienced drivers going to the rink and I’m trying to come home in one piece lol.

Yes, I do plan on running a ton of cooling and breaking modifications. I noticed WOT has released dual oil coolers which intrigues me quite a bit. I don’t see myself, adding too much power because I believe the type bar has tons of it so cooling and breaking and arrow is the name of the game for me. I’m trying to take as much influence from the time attack cars you see running in Japan.

well, I’m an American working here in Germany so it’s easier for me to move in and out of the country with the US spec car. So the previous owner shipped the vehicle from the United States to Germany under the military, but quickly had to move to another country which led to being for sale here in Germany. Add to be honest the prices of Type r here in Europe are through the roof. I’ve seen quite a few north of $55,000.

Greetings from Fürth. I saw your car a couple of weeks back at the Fürth train station.
I've got a Civic Sedan FC1 and i'm also quite often in Neustadt. Hmu if you want to get to know some locals and car culture.

Curious to know how did you go about installing the rear fog light.
I'm in the process of having the car shipped to UK, where on arrival they mandate to install the rear fog light to be compliant with UK laws.

If that’s a thing, I always like them! I even did one on my ’06 Scion, but I ended up removing it because I tried to get the Honda OEM one. Back in those days, they were really hard to find and expensive.

If it’s a viable option to retrofit the Euro version to this one, I’m totally in for a DIY. In my opinion, it gives an awesome look—and of course, there are safety benefits, but that comes last! šŸ˜‚

I am also a sucker for Rear fog lights. I have them on my BMW m3. The newer hondas seem to use CANBUS to activate things via the light switch so it is a tad more complicated.

No. The car passed TüV without needing to have a rear fog light. Seeing as the car is under a certain agreement with the German government due to my job it only has to follow certain laws

My car is under a certain agreement with the German government so I won’t be much help with that lol

Update time!!

recently installed the spoon springs the revised version from dr automotive. Initial impressions is the car handles bumps so much better especially on the autobahn but I can’t truly give my opinion on handling in the backroads due to adding 20mm spacers from H&R. The fitment is great but it tracks all over the place and torque steers like crazy so I’ll be removing them soon to give a real impression.

Blitz front strut bar

I kept the current setup (spoon springs with 20mm spacers) and added the blitz strut bar just to see if I can get the handling where I wanted it to be and I’m almost there. The blitz bar was super easy to install and looks… factory which fits my clubsport look. I wanted to go with the Js racing bar but after seeing the quality of the welds and wait time I had to p

Power flex torque insert

Now this might not be for everyone due to the interior cable vibrations but it works… so I went with the race version which might not be the right move. I’m aware it will soften up over time so I’ll follow up on this if it doesn’t to my full satisfaction I’ll swap the street version. Install was easy and took about 30ish minutes to install. If your FL5 is your daily… don’t go with the race version it’s way too much vibration for a daily especially if you’re using your car for family duties.

the shifts are sooo much more noticeable and on and off throttle is crazy responsive. Feels more tactical and solid which I love a lot

I’m down as long as it’s not a bunch of vaping kids in a parking lot lol
