RameyRacing vs 4Piston shortblocks- help me decide

After spinning a rod bearing in my FL5, I'm looking at having the motor built because it's somehow the same price as buying an OEM shortblock from Honda. Currently I'm between RameyRacing's Turbo Street shortblock and 4Pistons Built Shortblock, both are similarly priced, though 4Piston charges substantially more for for the OEM crank that I'll need (mine is more than likely done for).

I know 4Piston has a lot of rep online, but when I actually talk to people that are more knowledgeable they usually tell me to go with Ramey so I'm looking to see if I can get opinions from people who have experiences with either brand.

In a past build on my 8th Gen Si, I went with ERL for a K20Z3 sleeved block, 2.2L BC stroker kit, custom Endyn head with the "cheating bastard" option, and many other internal modifications. Seeing this thread, I was going to recommend ERL as a solid option to consider for the block until I learned that they exited the K20/K24 market in 2017.

That said and considering the Ramey and 4Pistons short blocks linked, I would lean towards Ramey but would also have many other questions to ask before deciding.

They don't mark the C1 specifically. K series is all grouped together. You select the bore you want which indicates your specific engine. In the K20C1s case, 86mm.

Have you looked at the mountune built one? I remember they also advertise higher redline too at some point (page doesn't say they still do).

It's a built longblock, though they might be able to take your pre-existing engine

Since you're early, it may be helpful to expand the consideration set. 1:1 Tuning sells race engines as well. May be worth a conversation/look.
