I have been looking for a phone mount solution for the type r and this is probably the most simplest but it works no gimmicks or gadgets.

Just picked up the Blitz one, we'll see how it works

ProClip is pricey, but it works the best. I have it on all of my cars (current and previous)!

I am a cheapskate, found this mount on Amazon

but no longer available, found these similar ones:

Rock solid steady, easy to reach and view. uses double sided tape to hold it onto the dash, so no permanent modification were needed.

I got just the base, and used the holder I used in my 07 FA5 Si

Since I used the phone to take the pictures, I could not shoot it with the phone inside, I also left the arms wide open.

with the phone in the holder and arms closed, it obscures just the edge of the buttons, yet does not block and I can easily reach the buttons.

it allows me to run two apps, one on the phone and one on the main display. with both within easy reach of my finger tips.

I normally have a speedometer app that beeps at me when I exceed one of four selected speed limits., it is so easy for me not to realize that I am going twice the speed limit...

I have one of these which is very similar to the pro clip

The pro clip was out of stock so gave it a try and its really nice, maybe a little cheaper. I have it to mount my garmin catalyst, I don't like phones in my face when I drive my cars now a days

Agree on the pro clip. Have had one in the CTR for 2 years and my other cars for 8 years. Brilliant and faultless on rough roads and track days.

Something neat is the car actually comes with a phone holder, it's right below the USB ports.
