Yep it's fine now! I would say the fit still seems a little weird, has the same wiggle room as before, but I just took a heat gun to the plastic and worked out the kinks it got during shipping.

Very good to hear, thanks for the update.

Helps take the edge off a cold shift knob while adding minimal weight.

Lol. I'm not sure I'll ever get the the cold/hot knob thing. I drove my S2000 for 10+ years with the stock aluminum knob and it was just part of the deal. I do have the leather knob I got as part of my purchase of the car but I'm not in a hurry to try it as I really like the factory knob in the FL5.

Every time I think about ordering a new shift knob. I drive the car and then I’m like, yea I’m good on a new shift knob

I like the stock one a lot but when its 15-20F like it was today, its just really cold. If you dont drive in stop and go traffic and dont need to touch it a lot its ok but its a repeated shock and sucks the heat out of your hand quickly.

I want to get the hybrid racing maxim that has the OEM look but it's stainless and weighted.

What are you doing to the knob where you need a certain temp?

Pick up the brightest T10/194 LED bulb you can for the rear hatch light. The light back there is piss poor.
I have a similar list to you, but throw in some window tint too
I appreciate the heads up on the LED bulb for the rear hatch. I'll absolutely look into that.

I'll pass on the window tint. I'm not saying I won't get it but right now it's not necessary. I'm fine rocking the fishbowl for the time being.

Update us on how the JDM shift boot goes. I've heard people are running into complications because the mount is reversed for right side drive and it makes the process a bit of a headache. I'm debating going with the Overland Designs Alcantara boot for that reason.

Edit: Found a video showing the installation issues with the JDM boot.

I want the OEM one since it has the red trim ring which I think has a nice look. Ordered a Ti knob last night.
