Installed my new wheels.

265/35/18 Bridgestone Potenza RE71RS on 18x9.5 +35 CE28SL in Blast Bronze.

Lowered on Spoon FL5 spec springs with Eibach rear adjustable camber arms and front adjustable white line ball joints. Front strut pin removed to add additional camber.

Anymore room to run 275s (depending on tire brand) with that offset?

I'll know for sure when i get it properly aligned this week. But it's looking too tight with that offset, would poke out in the front without additional camber, perhaps a coilover would help with less ride height.

Looks awesome - ET35 is quite an aggressive offset!

Any side on pics to illustrate the level of poke?

EDIT: Just saw your reel on instagram - damn dude 🔥🔥

Appreciate it! How long did it take for your springs to settle?

Yeah pretty aggressive and I still have to bring it in for an alignment. I’m planning on dialing in the camber and toeing out.

The rear's settled quite a lot over a period of 1-2 weeks. The front's stayed at -20mm from the very beginning to currently as they sit.

I'm at -2.7° up front and with a 5mm spacer under my wheels (18x9.5 ET45 275/35R18 RE71RS) the tyres kiss the inner lip of the front guards under full compression. I would say for your set up you'd want to run around the same camber to avoid rubbing under hard driving. The rear would be fine at -2.0°

Might be worth noting I'm running a 7mm thick shim on the back to make mine sit level due to how much the rear has sagged...

I’m looking at different spring isolators to accomplish what you did with that shim once the rear settles.

The Spoon FL5 Spec springs have settled a bit after day 2 and 100 miles of driving.

The rear fender gap is less than the front as others have already mentioned, however, the side skirt remains level with the pavement.

It looks like Spoon had a decision to make: lower the car so that it the body is level to the ground OR, create an equal fender gap front and rear which will in hand make the car raked with a lower front end.

Alignment to come by this weekend per your camber recommendations @tezzasaurusrex , I'll probably go -0.5 toe in the front, 0.0 rear.

I think you're right, they chose to get the side sill level with the ground. The FL5 from factory has a small amount of reverse rake when the fuel tank is full.

In terms of the alignment settings, I recommend 0 front toe, and +1 to +2mm rear toe (combined). You'll find you'll get quite a lot of inside tyre wear running toe out with anything more than -2.5° camber especially on the front axle of a fwd car. And a small amount of toe in at the rear axle helps bring the tyre temps up, and helps with stability preventing over-rotation under heavy trail braking.

I took your advice and went ahead with those recommended toe settings. I did not have the same luck matching your front camber, could only get 2.1 up front and so matched that in the rear.

Car is sitting nicely currently and rides great now that the toe was corrected after the suspension work it went under with springs, ball joints and camber arm installation.

Hey bud, just replied to your DM.

But I'll just add a photo here of where my ball joints are set. I used the +1 shim (hole in the centre of the shim).

Strut tops are all the way in on the towers.

Snapped a few photos at golden hour. The Spoon springs are settling a little more as the mileage creeps up. About 300 miles added so far.

Looks amazing!

As someone with Spoon springs in the garage waiting to be installed I'm a little concerned with the DD ability and I'm running 18x9.5 +45 wheels. I've noticed in about a month of driving my skirts/bumper are getting demolished with sand/rocks and that's on 340 TW tires.

I recommend doing PPF or rock guards to the edges or you'll likely have the same problem with even more aggressive tires. I plan on making a thread warning other owners as I really didn't expect it to be this bad...
