Edit for accuracy: this sample was actually Valvoline Advanced, not EP. I was mistaken when I filled out the form.Looks good for Valvoline ep!
Have you tried Valvoline Restore and Protect? I wonder how the Advanced compares. Would interesting to see a UOA of both.Edit for accuracy: this sample was actually Valvoline Advanced, not EP. I was mistaken when I filled out the form.
The Valvoline Advanced sample maintained its viscosity much better than my previous Valvoline EP sample, but it also had about 1,200 miles less on it, and it looks like a different lab had tested it. So who knows if the data is reflecting any actual quality difference!
I have not tried it, but Iβve read great things about it.Have you tried Valvoline Restore and Protect? I wonder how the Advanced compares. Would interesting to see a UOA of both.
I've been watching that stuff also..Have you tried Valvoline Restore and Protect? I wonder how the Advanced compares. Would interesting to see a UOA of both.
Can you imagine going 25k miles between oil changes?! These oil companies are 1 step away from claiming that their oil will never need to be changed again.I'm totally curious about trying Castrol - still Dexos Certified - Anyone try Castrol Edge?![]()

I have a bottle of the Edge in black with the Dexos 1 Gen 3 label on it. I purchased it for the truck I traded in for my FL5. What do you want to know? I have old PP Ultra 0w20 in the FL5 now but I'm swapping to 5w30 after this fill.I'm totally curious about trying Castrol - still Dexos Certified - Anyone try Castrol Edge?![]()

I'm pretty sure Nissan have a "commercial agreement" with Castrol.the Nissan Skyline engine builder recommended Castrol as a very good oil to use.
i wouldn't use Castrol. don't know why he said that unless he's being paid.I'm pretty sure Nissan have a "commercial agreement" with Castrol.
