If you ever go that route, please do post pictures and feedback. Since the stock OE tires are pretty much at normal prices now and are no longer "super cheap", my excuses to stick with it and sizing has gone away. I may try 275/30 on my next set.
How long do stock tires last? Im almost at 20k miles.
Next fun thing I have to do is oil change. I want to do it myself but did that on my FG2 once then said ef this lol

It varies all over the places. Most says they don't last very long, but some says they're able to eck out over 25k. If you're at 20k and still have plenty of tread life left, I would suspect it must have been replaced at one point? My car is approaching 8k and the front still have about 6/32 of tread depth remaining.

I'll measure the tread depth too. You may be right on the tire change.

Mine are at ~10k miles on them and I'm about halfway through them. Like xmetal said, the mileage people get out of them varies but I think 20k is the average.

I've got 45k on mine. I kept the old tires because they were on my type r forged rims when I traded in my 24 for my 26.

45k, holy crap, how'd they get that far? What's your tread depth?

My reaction exactly! I don't see mine last more than 20k.
My neighbor has a depth gauge I think. I still have a couple oil changes left too, I could ask Honda. I'm about to be switching over to my winter set of tires on stock rims soon too. I'll get the depth reading for you guys.

I just don't go zooming around corners like you guys I guess. I've gone very fast in both though so. 😂 I'll post pictures of tread for you guys as well. Out with the wife at a soccer game right now in her car.

Here is a PIC of my DWS 06+ in 275/30R19…Very happy with them being an all-season tire.

Well technically I thought about it while driving. I switch over in winter so, I did the math roughly for the actual mileage on them considering winter.

Winter considered, 30k miles and some change so far. Hell my rear brake pads lasted like 30k miles and every one here says 10k miles max.

That's still way above the advertised range

The stock specs are interesting, such low profile.
  • Wheel Size: 19 x 9.5 inches
  • Wheel Offset: +60 mm
  • Bolt Pattern (PCD): 5x120 mm (center bore: 64.1 mm)
  • Tire Size: 265/30ZR19 93Y (Michelin Pilot Sport 4S)
I like the beefier look, most likely will go with the DWS 06+ 275/35ZR19.
I don't really plan on lowering the car, but who knows lol.
Research before you lower.

Lowering changes the geometry Honda dialed in.

Similarly with wheel offset and changing the scrub radius.

Might look better, but might not perform as intended.

Im pretty convinced on the dws 06+ 275/35 as my next set of tires. Thanks for the much useful info!
One more advantage, if the tire does not last 50k miles, you get prorated miles on the new set.

The last set of Michelin PS A/S 4 lasted only 14k miles. I got the new set for 1/3 of the price. similarly with the previous set of Michelins.

I'd assume Continental will honor their mileage warranty similar to Michelin.
