I've had some communication with them and it's a delay on getting them out of Taiwan as BC just released the FL5 part number (although I could get the FK8 part number).

For rates, I went with 10/12.
wonder how the tariff situation will effect pricing.

It's a good question - I'm not sure that Taiwan is considered China, so I don't think they'd be affected by the 10% hit there, and the general steel/aluminum tariff I don't think would apply to something like this that's finished, but I guess we'll find out lol.

Taiwan is not part of China. Never will be. It would be idiotic to impose a tariff on Taiwan imports or have included as part of China since majority of semiconductor chips are from Taiwan. Then again, all the current increases in tariff is idiotic.

This is why I didn't state anything definitively lol - some of this changes so often and is so unclear you just have to wait until it actually is finalized to know what it impacts (and it's something I follow as part of my job).

Just had my 3rd track day!

Bought a 5gallon gas can from the local gas station and it was extremely helpful.

My rear wheel almost came off during my first session 😅 the wheel wasn't centered probably on the wheel hub. I learned the importance of torque down the lug nuts in the cross pattern.

I went with my friends that I made last time. One of them is a professional racing coach. There were alot of drivers out there today. Alot of guys had high HP that were modified and were just way off balance. We got caught up to a C7 GS and a bunch of BMW M cars and gave us the point by. There were 2 FL5 CTRs but I was the only one who was going out consistently, they just like 1 session. Shame because I was hoping to see how they were on track.

Towards the end of the day it was just us on the track and we did some drills and I really git to focus and learn trail braking and properly braking modulation. I started pieceing everything together and now can get the car balanced and can feel the front end dip under braking. I spun out on T1 in front of the crowd embrassingly but now I can tell when the car is getting unbalanced and upset.

Still dont truly feel understeer and oversteer, but I can feel when something is off.

Im truly learning alot and I'm honestly going to sell my GT350 and get a BRZ to learn more.

Wow awesome!! How much did the coach help? Learning to feel the car take so much time and you're getting a lot of seat time Im jealous 🤣

Also 0 overheating issues. The only reason why I go off track is becuase of the fuel starvation.

The temps were perfect it was ~70F Peak oil temp was like 258.

I dont have any photos but this was a video I took with coach during our last lap

The coach help immensely. The biggest thing he noticed last time I was out was my brake modulation so I what I was doing was I was just constantly applying 100% pressure or let go and then apply turning 100% turn. So now when I brake, I'll apply 20% or 60% brakes but will carry that through the through the turn, so that the weight is still on the front tires and then peel it off, going into throttle to keep the car balanced instead of letting off the brakes mid turn losing the front.

There are small things I need to work on like, better hand placement on the wheel but those are more minor. He wanted me to focus on the big things and I'm starting to get it now.

I have since sprayed it off but it was sooo cold and I was parking outside for the week. Didn't want to freeze myself out of the car lol.

I was scraping the windows and got a little water on my bare hand. Then touched the -2 degree metal shifter. Almost had a Christmas Story moment lol
