I 100% disagree. Why? Virtually all publications make clickbait now, unfortunately. Gotta drive that web traffic!!!

You can disagree all you want, but their track record speaks for itself. I honestly can’t remember the last time Best Car Magazine out of Japan missed the mark. They nailed the GR Corolla renders years ago, long before anyone even knew what it was, and they did the same with the new Land Cruiser FJ that just debuted yesterday. That’s just two examples out of dozens. They’re so consistently accurate it’s hard not to think they’ve got serious insider access. This isn’t some clickbait rag. It’s the most reliable source out there, and they nearly always get it right.

I am 100% convinced they’re accurate about the Prelude Type R.

I very highly doubt it, unless they can manage to make the Prelude a high performance vehicle. From what I’ve read, it’s a dog in current form. I know straight line speed isn’t everything, but ~9 secs to 60 is mind numbingly SLOW. I can’t wait to see the N-ring record shattered…for slowest modern hybrid!

Sounds like Best Car has the inside scoop at Toyota…and Toyota doesn’t seem to care as much to keep info close to the chest.

Standard civic is also slow. Id assume they would revamp chassis and powertrain on that just as they did with the civic.

There is no 27 planned afaik...searching all net threads with real data. Laws and regulations in Japan..... Hybrid may be the next "boost" option so a hybrid R could come out....ICE NA plus battery, no turbo. Like the prelude....I see that car as a beta test of sorts for the next R.

Prelude can't have a type R because the 2027 civic type R will have 700hp and SH-AWD. 295 tires on 18x10. Factory coilovers and a motec system exhaust

Apparently Europe got swallowed by an emissions panic and now everyone else is supposed to obediently copy paste the same nonsense, because obviously the entire planet has to run its decisions through Brussels first.

Please, hurry up and buy your Type Rs before they skyrocket in value. Any minute now, right. Honda would never, ever do a facelift or drop a Final Edition at the exact moment enthusiast cars are on life support and the so called electric mandates keep getting delayed, watered down, or quietly tossed in the trash lol

But yeah, totally, Honda is going to just walk away from the easiest hype cycle in the industry because some forum prophets said so
